Are you de-cluttering after Christmas? Donations welcome but please only bring on the day to the village hall, do not dump bags there beforehand!
The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance donation van will be parked again in the Village Hall car park on Tuesday, 23 January from 10.30am - 1.30pm. Please bring along your unwanted clothing, bric-a-brac, toys, books, crockery, jewellery, bags, shoes, accessories, small electrical items, etc. to help this much needed charity.

Do you have 2 hours a month (or more!) to help keep our popular and vibrant community village hall running?
We are looking for:
A Booking Secretary; monitoring emails, checking and approving
booking requests via online booking system, liaising with regular and one-off hirers and the Treasurer.
A Committee Secretary; to prepare meetings, take minutes, and chase up actions between monthly meetings.
Hall checkers; mostly on Saturdays or Sundays to go in after party bookings. Checking that the hall has been locked and left in a clean and tidy state for the next hirer.

We are recruiting for two positions to engage with our community and drive community participation.

Events Project Manager
Do you have experience in, or are you interested in, devising and running events? We would love to create some events to appeal to and engage with our village community.

Maintenance Project Manager
We are looking for a person who can liaise with and oversee the logistics of building maintenance projects, contributing to the smooth running of the building and ensuring it is in the best possible condition.

About Ickleford Village Hall
At the heart of our community for nearly a century, Ickleford Village Hall has a schedule of regular classes and events, as well as being available to hire for private events. The hall is run by a group of friendly, dedicated volunteers who meet once a month, without whom the hall could not function. If the two roles above aren’t your area, but you’d like to get involved in another way, we’d be delighted to welcome you to the team!

It's Village Halls Week! This national campaign shines a spotlight on the contribution England's 10,000+ village and community halls make to rural communities.

We are very proud to serve the people of Ickleford and beyond, with a great variety of programmes and activities taking place during the week, every week.

We hope everyone's had a good summer!

This is an announcement that we are still looking for volunteers to join the Ickleford Village Hall committee; in addition to general members, we are in particular need of a Treasurer.

For the Treasurer role, you don’t need accounting experience, just:
1 - a knowledge of IT (we use an online accounting system which does most things for you)
and
2 - a few hours spare each month.

We would also like to hear from any trades people, particularly plumbers and electricians, who live locally and would be happy to step in at short notice to fix any emergency repairs (paid of course!)

Ickleford Village Hall really does need new members to keep operating smoothly and secure its future, keeping it open and available for use by the community.

Welcome to the website! Ickleford is a village near Hitchin in north Hertfordshire. The Village Hall celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2015 and serves as a venue for local activities.
