Fun fact - whenever I have a booking that is further away from my base I look to see if there’s a Nando’s nearby so I can grab something to eat after setup and catch up on work whilst awaiting the collection time.

The most magical day, with our mermaid wonderland! 🌊🧜♀️✨
And yes I did cry when Live-Action Mermaid (Jassie) walked in because my niece’s face absolutely lit up as well as the other children.
If you didn’t know by now I love doing setups for my nieces and nephews birthdays because I get full creative control. I actually set myself up each time because I raise the bar higher. When I asked Aniyah what theme she wanted this year she said The Little Mermaid, and she even started to describe what she wanted included in it, so I went about looking for inspiration and she took different things and helped me with the initial design. The biggest request she had was for a visit from Live-Action Mermaid. Trust me when I tell you this request was hard to find, and through doing it, it really highlighted just how far and few between their is entertainment companies that offer princess of different ethnicities. The local company to me who does offer it was fully booked the day of the event, and it was really hard to find another company. But through the power of my research I came across @mymagicalpartiesuk and I honestly can’t recommend them enough.
Jassie not only kept all the children entertained, she truly made it a magical experience. Representation really does matter and I hope we’ll be able to see this more from all companies from now on.
Aniyah had the most amazing day and I think I enjoyed it just as much as her!
