What an amazing week we’ve had at The Old Market. Absolutely buzzing over all the positive comments we’ve had and like you we cannot wait for phase 2 when the kitchen opens and we start to do food and if course bring back the Sunday carvery.

We have a page on social media being worked on so soon you’ll all be able to follow us properly.

Opening times this week are

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 5pm -11pm
Friday & Saturday 12pm - 11pm
Sunday 12pm - 7pm

Absolutely amazing night catering for the ladies night in Holsworthy. Enjoyed every minute with an amazing team and all being well everyone enjoyed the food that was put before them. Brûlées being cooked, shortbread biscuits in the ovens, roasted tomato soup on the go and much more, all ready for tomorrow nights ladies night for 64. What a privilege it was to be invited to help the for a private wedding on Saturday. Stunning venue, incredible food and an amazing team to work along side, although I knew they would be as its some of the old crew from .

The weekends plans had to change due to the good ole British Summer weather, so bbq for yesterday was moved to today. Not problem at all as we do our best to accommodate and make changes for these unforeseen circumstances.

The bbq’d pineapple with Farmer Tom's Dairy Ice Cream Vanilla Coconut ice cream was a hit.

Hello & welcome to The Roaming Chef.

So after 25+ yrs in the mainstream industry I’ve decided to bow out. I’ve worked in a broad & varied selection of businesses within the industry. Starting locally in a pub/hotel then reaching the highs of The Master Chefs of Great Britain and recently finishing my career in a local pub/restaurant. So as to say I’ve served my time and now have decided that a healthier work/life balance is needed.

I absolutely love my cooking and am very passionate about my food and adhere to the philosophy of ‘Less is more’ and let the food speak for itself. Fantastic produce, cooked and paired well with natural flavours giving it that wow factor. (Let food speak for itself)

So what am I offering ?

I love the idea of being able to offer a dining out experience within the comfort of your own home or private venue. More bespoke, personal touch & feel and a totally tailored menu to suit your dietary requirements. Would also be available for a stand in/pair of hands in a busy restaurant/hotel. As for looking to the future will also be looking to be offering hog roasts & bbq’s.

Literally anything is possible, I feel.
