When ITV came to Mavericks.
Earlier this week we had a visit from ITV Wales to highlight how as a small, community owned business we've bucked the trend and continued to create local jobs, particularly those most in need. We were featured Tuesday on the 6pm news at prime time.
There's over thirty of us involved in running and trying to grow the company, including three new apprentices. We employ and provide long-term career opportunities for people with learning difficulties, mental heath conditions and disabilities alongside experienced mentors.
We also employ veterans, skilled people who found themselves redundant, retired professionals with lots to offer and over a dozen young people from fourteen to twenty one who are now learning invaluable life skills and growing in confidence.
There's more to Mavericks than meets the eye, so next time you're over, say hello to the team who are there because of your custom and very grateful for it.
