Our festival weddings, hen and stag weekends are held on our stunning farm in the heart of the Black We are here to help wherever we are needed.

Our venue lends itself perfectly to those of you wishing to walk into a beautiful setting with the option to play around with it as much as you like, to make it your own. We have a beautiful marquee, funky bar barn, cabin kitchen, pagoda style BBQ, large catering kitchen, firepits, lots of furnished bell tents, and more - and bags of beautiful space for whatever you like. For weddings, you can arr

ive from the Wednesday to set up and stay until Monday, so no bustle involved! Your guests can arrive from the Friday to spend a lovely weekend camping. Hens and stags are welcome from Friday until Sunday evening. You can cater for yourselves as much as you like, or we can do as much as you'd like us to do. And there are no curfews! You can party throughout the night without that horrific midnight bright lights experience. Just give us a call if you'd like to discuss either your wedding, or your hen or stag. Stag season starts first weekend of May 🦌

We have:
✨ A party barn with a fully equipped bar you can run yourselves
✨ A fire pit perfect to sit beside with a beer
✨ Lots of meals included - two cooked breakfasts, a luxury Ploughman's and a picnic lunch
✨ A covered barbeque if you want to grill!

Fiona’s father bought the farm in 1975 and has transformed it into an amazingly eco friendly organic environment. He is passionate about the land and wildlife and this has definitely been passed on to Fiona. He has sourced various natural springs whose water, via various filter systems, has kept the family and animals going for the past 45 years 🌳

Wood Lane Flowers 💐💕

We work with the talented florist Sally at Wood Lane Flowers to create beautiful seasonal arrangements for your wedding

Sally grows all her flowers chemical-free in a small plot in nearby Broadhembury. Her gorgeous arrangements are harmonious with the seasons and provide a symbiotic relationship with wildlife and insects. Her flowers are cultivated using natural feeds like liquid seaweed and nettles - the polar opposite of imported chemically treated flowers that offer no scent and even less personality!

From small table posies to large and dramatic urns, Sally can do it all 🌷

Hand-fasting is an ancient Celtic wedding tradition that symbolises the binding together of two lives. The unity ceremony involves the tying together of the couples' hands - which is where the phrase 'tying the knot' comes from!

It's a really beautiful way of expressing commitment that has its roots in Pagan tradition - but these days is often used in secular ceremonies, as well as spiritual and other religious weddings. You can buy hand-fasting ribbons online or weave your own - whatever feels right for you.

For some couples, a traditional wedding ceremony feels a bit restrictive and uncomfortable, hand-fasting is a really lovely alternative way to celebrate unity and connection 💍

Who is on the invite list? Is it just the girls, or are they we looking at a mix of older (potentially more particular!) family members? If grandma is coming, it might be safe to leave the inflatables at home...

What's the budget?
Weddings can get expensive - and not just for the happy couple! Take a moment and consider who is on the guest list, and how much you're comfortable asking them to pay

Get a veto list - and stick to it!
What does your bride to be absolutely hate? Is she a shots gal or more of a casual glass of wine and cheese board type? Make sure you're planning a party she'll actually enjoy by letting her veto what she does not

Our farm is a member of the Countryside Stewardship Scheme 🌱 We have preserved hedgerows for wildlife, coppiced, planted oaks and ash in our ancient woodland and controlled invasive species, created two large ponds for wildlife and much more to ensure the well-being of our land and animals
