In support of Baby Loss Awareness week 9-15th October, we donated our £250 plastic bag money to Aching Arms UK, a baby loss charity that offers comfort and support to anyone affected by the loss of a baby 💔

We want to thank our customers for their generous donations to our charities, usually giving above the 10p we have to charge for bags. We aim to support, smaller, local charities that really feel the benefit of your donations. Thank you, you’re wonderful 💙🩷

Something a little different 💖

I don’t think many of our customers are aware, but we lost my Dad, Pat’s husband, on 5th November last year. Dad was a big part of the shop and he has been missed so deeply. The 19th October would have been Dad’s 80th birthday. Over the years Dad made it known, when he died, he wanted his ashes to be scattered on the island of Kauai, a small Hawaiian island. Not an easy task 🤔 But a place that Dad fell in love with when he visited. We decided for his 80th birthday, the whole family would make a pilgrimage to scatter his ashes and honour his wishes. With both mum and I being away together, we felt it was better to close the shop, so that we could do this without any distractions. This is the first time we have ever closed, but some things are just too important. We hope you all understand and will come back to see us once we reopen on 11th November. If you require any card orders, we asked that you place these by 15th October and they are collected by end of day 19th October. Me and mum will both be in, working, on 19th, celebrating Dads 80th birthday in the shop. Please come and say hi if you’re passing ♥️♥️♥️ Could you please LIKE this post so we can let as many of our customers know as possible?
