It all starts with a story.

One thing I love to do is tell a story. As a child I wanted to be an author and write fantasy novels, I literally wanted to be the next JK Rowling! 🧙🏾‍♀️ Things change and I'm still yet a write a book (maybe someday). But I still love to tell stories through creative designs and styling. Stories are powerful. They evoke emotions, connections and inspiration.

My design process almost always starts with a sketch up. I used to do this on scrap paper, but my sketches always got lost around the house. So my hubby (not sure out of frustration or love) bought me my own sketchpad. I absolutely love it and use it so much when creating ideas. I’m not the best at drawing, but it helps me to get ideas out of my head and down on paper to better visualise the end goal. If we work together, expect at least one of my sketch ups in your dms!

It's been a week since my vintage theatre styled shoot and I'm still buzzing! The whole thing turned out brilliantly and I was lucky enough to have a super talented team on board. This shoot was a long time in the making, so it filled me with joy to see everyone's hard work come to life. I absolutely love working with and supporting other businesses and building lasting connections. Thank you to all the incredible suppliers for jumping on board the creative train with me - it was so much fun!

I'm already thinking about my next styled shoot, but I know I need to rein myself in and slow down a bit. This week is my son's 3rd birthday, so I'm going to relax and fill my gob with cake - because why the hell not! 😋

One of the best things about doing styled shoots is the friendships you get to make. I'm so excited to be working with Chloë from The Wedding Print Shop again! 💛 She designed the invitation suite for my first shoot back in 2020, and we've kept in touch ever since! Our babies were born a month apart, so we've enjoyed many a playdate together! 😄 Chloë sent me this photo of these cute red tassels, which will feature in next week's shoot - super excited!

So, it's been a bit of a tricky week balancing the kiddos and organising the plans for my styled shoot - but, hey, I made it! 🙌🏾 Yesterday, I managed to do some table styling in preparation and I loved how it turned out. A little practice run allows me to play around with ideas and see what works and what doesn't. Here's a little sneaky peek for your Friday! 😏✨

SO happy to have Catherine's Bridal on board for my upcoming styled shoot! This week we finalised the dress (or should I say dresses? 😏) and I can't wait for you to see them! Oof! It's been a while, but it's nice to be back! What have I been up to? Lots and lots of planning, particularly for my vintage theatre styled shoot, which is in 2 weeks!! It feels great to get my creative juices flowing again, and I'm so lucky to be working with a super talented team of suppliers on this shoot! QUIRKY 30s and lovin’ it! 🙌🏾⚡️

This week I turned the BIG 3-0 and I had such an amazing day with family and friends 💛 It’s officially goodbye to my 20s 👋🏾 I have so much gratitude for all that I have learned and everything I have achieved in my 20s. My biggest achievement was becoming a mum to my 2 beautiful kids 💕

Looking forward to an exciting, fun-filled decade ahead! Here's to Chapter 30 🥂🤩
