We are pleased to be able to accommodate another fantastic initiative with Horsham District Council - working well with our community

Following a referral from the Horsham District Wellbeing team for a client with MS, our Sports Development team have launched walking tennis! 🎾

The group for any adults wanting to give low impact accessible tennis a try will be running on Thursdays up until Christmas, under the guidance of local tennis coach Mike Costa.

Cassie attended the first session and borrowed a sports wheelchair from the team which meant she was able to play alongside her mother and other participants. She commented:

“The wheelchair worked really well, the session was really good fun and good exercise too. I really enjoyed it!” 🌟

Well it wasn’t to be but it was a fantastic effort by - and well done to - maybe next time 🤞

Unfortunately, although all 250 tickets were booked for tonight only half this number turned up 🙁 Whilst we do appreciate last minute changes need to be made and things “crop up” however as a not for profit facility we rely on footfall to help generate funds for much needed projects. Could we please ask that if you do book tickets with us for any event that you let us know if you are unable to attend. We can then offer the tickets to others.

Those who came had a great time and we thank you for your patience with one of the screens - thank you 😊

Well what can we say, the weather was certainly on our side this year, no horrendous squishy mud and no drama. Our fireworks were bangtastic 🎆

3 superb displays from Aurora Fireworks Ltd - we were singing Sweet Caroline for the rest of the evening. Tomfoolery kept the little ones entertained with his humour and wit and Bounce about sussex provided the all important bouncy castles. Delicious offerings from The Mac Shack Food by Georgia and the Thai food was tasty and of course Les with his ice creams. Despite a temperamental BBQ the burgers and hotdogs went down a treat and the Firebird Brewing Co. Tent was well attended.

Staff and volunteers worked hard to ensure everyone was looked after and we hope those who attended had a fabulous time. Your patience with the queues was appreciated too, we do love a queue 😉 Thank you to everyone involved in making the evening a great success, without you this would not have been possible and we appreciate every single one of you. See you all next year 🎆🎆

As of this moment our event is going ahead - if this changes following the outcome of the storm we will let you know asap - safety is the highest priority and this will not be compromised.

Only cars that have pre-booked and given their registration numbers will be permitted to park on-site. ALL other vehicles will be turned away. Please use public transport (200 or 51 get you to North Heath Lane or 98 gets you to Littlehaven with a short distance walk) or of course walk. If you do drive please be considerate of our neighbours and emergency services.

While we do have a small area of hard standing the majority of ground is the field therefore we advise you to wear sensible shoes/wellies and warm waterproof coats.

Let’s hope the storm will blow through safely and we look forward to seeing you all on Friday 🎆🎆🎆
