A little solidarity for the florist who was recently criticised over a £20 bouquet… 🌸
Because I think this needs saying.
A £20 bouquet doesn't mean £20 worth of flowers.
That £20 has to cover the flowers, packaging, the florist's time, wastage, rent, wages, bills, card fees and all the other costs that come with running a flower shop.
So when you're working to a £20 budget, there's only so much you can physically put into that bouquet.
And that's not the florist being difficult.
It's maths.
£20 can absolutely make a beautiful bouquet — it just needs to be designed as a £20 bouquet.
Want more flowers, premium varieties or something specific and out of season? That's absolutely fine. The budget just needs to reflect it.
And florists aren't offended by a £20 budget. Quite the opposite. Tell us what you'd like to spend and we'll work with it.
Just remember, you're not only paying for the flowers.
You're paying for the skill, time and business behind them too. 🤍
