Meet Santa, experience the world of Stock Car and Hot Rod racing and witness our famous Caravan Destruction Derby - all at Hednesford Hills Raceway this Sunday!

The Best in Britain event is prestigious in Spedeworth/Incarace circles, and a true highlight of the winter season, having previously being contested at London's Wimbledon Stadium - but now having a new home at the high-speed circuit which is Hednesford Hills...

We do miss heading to the capital every Sunday evening in the colder months, but this Sunday all roads lead to the Staffordshire venue for a packed day of hugely competitive racing: with an excellent entry making the event one not to be missed.

Watch out for our special guest too, as Father Christmas gets involved with the Raceway - see him around the venue as he gets his oval racing fix!

STADIUM INFO:-
Hednesford Hills Raceway is one of the most loved circuits in the UK when it comes to Stock Car, Hot Rod and Banger racing; and has over 60 years of motorsport history, with the speeds many cars achieve around its fearsome banked turns really having to be seen to be believed!

There really is nothing like an afternoon at the Raceway, standby for high-octane, thrill-packed racing from different classes of racing - with something for the whole family. Bring the kids - and big kids - for extreme entertainment like nothing else.

Get up-close-and-personal and see the whole track in front of you, meaning you can follow your favourite driver as they frantically race around the tarmac oval.

Thrills and spills are part and parcel of oval motorsport, and the track has held countless races since it’s opening in the mid-20th Century, with thousands of people experiencing the world of oval motorsport. Since the 1950s, Hednesford has provided stunning racing and great entertainment from Stock Cars, Hot Rods and Bangers in equal measure with a huge variety of other attractions in between.

The circuit was built in 1952 utilising the site of a former reservoir. The track is a full quarter mile length oval, with two banked corners, and a tarmac track surface surrounded by an armco safety fence.

With the track built at the base of the reservoir, it has the advantage of being at the bottom of a large "bowl" and means that viewing is superb all around the track from its grass banks and two covered grandstands, it really is a great day out for all the family. The whole track is in front of your very eyes - so you won't miss any of the action.

The track is situated high on Cannock Chase just one mile from the town of Hednesford in Staffordshire, and is easily accessible from the M6, M6 Toll and A5.

Wishing Back to Basic Bangers drivers the best of luck in the Man of the Midlands event, sponsored by Gamble Motorsport...

MAN OF THE MIDLANDS FINALE 2024

The Man of the Midlands Series comes to a close on Sunday as the Back to Basic Bangers battle it out in the Finale at Hednesford Hills Raceway. Sponsored by our good friends at Gamble Motorsport, we look forward to this 50+ car entry taking to the 1/4 mile oval!

Drivers have races across four qualifying events over the year, with more points scored meaning a place higher up the grid for the big race on Sunday. #95 Zak Freeth leads with 98 points - just ahead of #992 Brad Tout on 94. #129 Dale Richardson and #251 Buster Griffiths are going into the Finale joint third with 90 points each.

Sunday’s event sees one last chance points race, where the top 10 drivers will score the last available points to push themselves higher up the grid for the main race.

The second race of the day will be the 2024 Man of the Midlands Finale: where the highest points scorers will start at the front of the grid to give themselves the best chance to take the glory! Strap yourself in and standby: the pyro, the close racing, the Man of the Midlands 2024…

The third race of the day is an All Comers, before the fourth and final Back to Basic Banger event of the day: the Brian Portsmouth Trophy Final into DD. This is the inaugural running of the Trophy for the Back to Basic Bangers; in memory of our much-missed Scrutineer who spent so many years involved in the racing at Hednesford Hills. He - and his one liners - were part of the furniture for so long. We then move on to the Destruction Derby - where these MOT failures will be given one last shot at glory, with the last car standing winning the final event of the day!
