It was a hectic but unforgettable day at the Hall yesterday! We were honored to welcome 30 enthusiastic Year 5 students from Francis Askew Primary School, who came to explore and discover what makes Hotham Hall thrive!
The day was packed with inspiring activities led by our dedicated team. Butler John demonstrated the elegance and precision of his role, Head Gardener Anna shared her passion for horticulture, and Luke, Ash and Bert from showcased their craftsmanship. The children also enjoyed a captivating tour of the Hall and lunch on the woodland island, with games arranged by Charlie, our apprentice gardener, to encourage teamwork.
Organised by Hull & EY Children's Hull and EY Children's University, the event aimed to ignite the children's curiosity and passion for various professions. We introduced them to the diverse roles essential for the Hall's restoration and daily operations. Linda, our charismatic leader, captivated the children with her inspiring life journey and answered their many questions, motivating them to dream big and pursue their ambitions with determination!
