Welcome to Weddings at Cliffe House!
After a multi-million pound refurbishment, we’re delighted to be opening our doors to host weddings and private events. And as a brand new celebration venue, we currently have excellent availability throughout 2022 and beyond.

Located on the outskirts of Holmfirth and set in extensive grounds, Cliffe House is a large country mansion built in the Arts and Crafts style, by local brewing entrepreneurs, the Senior family.

Following an extensive refurbishment programme in 2020, our suite of beautiful ground floor reception rooms have been returned to their former grandeur, featuring opulent decoration and fabrics, providing the perfect backdrop to your exclusive celebrations.

Outside, there are pretty formal lawns and garden borders, which burst with colourful planting throughout the spring, summer and well into the autumn - a perfect spot for photographs, and a marquee or two if you really want to push the boat out.

For younger guests, we have a fabulous adventure playground, woodland activity walks and play dens, making this the ideal spot for christenings and special birthday parties too.

Our celebration rooms:

The Billiards Room
Bright and airy, this light-filled room is the perfect place to exchange vows in front of up to 50 guests, and is also where we host live entertainment, music and dancing for your evening reception.

The Dining Room
Featuring fabulous bay windows and the original marquetry floor, this beautiful room, with its plaster panelling and low-hung chandeliers, oozes understated glamour and seats up to 60 guests for formal dining.

The Boardroom Bar
Dark and decadent, this atmospheric room is home to our bar – the perfect place to host pre and post ceremony drinks, smaller receptions or private dining.

The Lounge
An intimate and sophisticated room where guests can temporarily escape the hustle and bustle of the day, sink into comfy sofas and catch up with friends and family.

Exclusive use ceremony and reception
We like to keep things simple, so when you book Cliffe House for your wedding you pay a single fee for exclusive use of the whole venue, including all our beautiful ground floor reception rooms, our catering kitchen, gardens and grounds.

Our package prices include all furniture, and a full drinks service in the Boardroom Bar, but give you the freedom to appoint your own caterers and venue dressing team to create the special day you’ve always dreamed of.

We can accommodate up to 50 day guests (plus brides and grooms) for your ceremony and seated wedding breakfast; with capacity for 100 guests in total at your evening reception. Last orders at the bar are called at 11.30pm and guests are invited to leave by midnight.

Available on Saturdays throughout the year, this package includes:
• the Billiards Room for your ceremony and evening entertainment, including stylish modern white seating, suitable for further dressing if required
• the Dining Room to seat up to 60 people, with oak tables and benches or white chairs if you prefer
• Cake table, stand and knife
• the Boardroom Bar – for over counter sales, as well as various pre-payment and drinks packages
• the Lounge
• use of our professional kitchen for your caterer
• use of our lawns, grounds and adventure playground
