Phew! What a busy weekend we’ve had. We had 2 more lovely wreath workshop sessions today, this time at West Bretton Village Hall. Again we saw lots of different designs filled with texture and colour. Thank you for joining us today!
Now for a big glass of wine for me and a G&T for Liz I think!

What a fabulous day we’ve had today at Bramble and Rose Flower School! We had 2 lovely workshops at the beautiful village hall at Upperthong Village Hall
Here’s the photos from the morning and afternoon sessions, filled with some gorgeous wreaths and some very happy, smiley guests! You all made amazing designs and it was very nice to meet you. We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did hosting you.
A quick restock of all our foliage crates and mossed wreath bases as we’re out again tomorrow at West Bretton Village Hall for 2 more wreath workshop sessions. Looking forward to seeing our next guests and all their wonderfully creative wreaths!
Just a quick warning to be on the look out for dishonest people who claim to be reselling tickets to our events. This evening, a fake account tried to sell 4 tickets to tonight's workshop.
Our recommendation would be to always get in touch with us before you part with any money. We will be able to confirm if the seller genuinely bought tickets. Please take care and don't be taken in by these dishonest people.

We’ve just hosted our first Christmas wreath workshop of the season at the lovely Fenay Bridge Pub Huddesfield.
What a fabulous session with some really stunning wreaths made. It was lovely to meet you all and thank you for the nice feedback about our workshop sessions.
If you’ve not booked yourself on a session yet this year, we have some space left on our workshops on 2nd and 3rd December hosted by the truly special venue Lu's Place in Meltham. This one includes a welcome drink, canapés and a festive grazing buffet so would be great for a Christmas party.

We only have 7 spaces left on our Christmas Wreath Workshop at the lovely St Michael’s Church, Emley on 7th December at 6pm.
We had a fab time at this really welcoming venue last year - we’ll have mince pies and cookies, hot and cold drinks and some mulled wine. We’ll show you how to create a gorgeous Christmas wreath and then you’ll get to take yours home to adorn your front door. Absolutely no experience needed - everyone goes home with something beautiful!

Upper Denby Village Hall is now fully booked. Fenay Bridge Flaming Grill is also full. West Bretton Village Hall on the morning is down to the last 2 spots and the afternoon has only 4 left. We still have room at Emley Church on 7th December and Upperthong afternoon session on 25th November. There was just one space left at Holme Coffee House, Holmfirth on Friday 8th December. Lu's Place on 1st December is fully booked.
If you're looking to book as a group larger than 2 guests, the best places to try are Field Farnley on 29th November or Lu's Place on 2nd or 3rd December. And these two lovely venues are also offering delicious food as part of your event - a proper Christmas celebration perfect for a festive party with friends or work colleagues!

Lu’s Place, in conjunction with Bramble & Rose Flower School, is delighted to host an opportunity to get creative during the Christmas period.
Enjoy canapes and a welcome glass of Cava in our trendy glasshouse area whilst Bramble & Rose Flower School present a demonstration on how to create the perfect Christmas masterpiece, before you get creative and make your very own Christmas wreath to take home with you.
Following this, you will enjoy a festive grazing buffet with roaming food pots served by our fabulous Lu's Place team. Seating will be on a casual basis with a mix of high and low tables. A wide range of soft drinks, spirits, wine, and fizz will be available to purchase throughout the evening.
This will be a fun-filled event with stunning Christmas decorations and festive tunes to transport you into a winter wonderland. Ideal for parties or feel free to come alone - all are welcome!
We are easily accessible from Meltham, Holmfirth, and provide plentiful on-site parking. But why not grab a taxi, and make the most of it instead?

A quick update about our Christmas Wreath workshops.
Our Fenay Bridge workshop is now fully booked.
We only have 3 spaces left on our Upperthong Village Hall morning session on 25th November, but still have plenty of space for the afternoon session. Our 2 sessions on 26th November at West Bretton Village Hall are getting more booked up now with both morning and afternoon sessions about half full. Denby Hall session on 9th December is also about 3/4 full.
Don’t forget we’ve just added a new date at Emley Church with plenty of room for a group if our other sessions are too full to fit all your friends in! This one is on 7th December in the evening. Pop onto our website to book.

We had a lovely evening on Thursday celebrating the wonderful bounty of in a floral design workshop hosted by our friends at Holme Coffee House, Holmfirth
We had a gorgeous selection of to share with our guests who practiced hand tying bouquets. We talked about flower conditioning and care, good varieties to grow for cutting and how to source British grown blooms or even have a go at growing your own.
Then all our guests enjoyed an artisan platter and some refreshing drinks. They took home their lovely flowers and a pretty vase so that they can continue with their new found flower arranging techniques.
Would you like to learn something new and be creative with flowers? We host all kinds of floral design workshops at various locations around Huddersfield. We can even arrange an event bespoke to you - hen parties, baby showers, summer garden parties all made fun and flowery with our help.

What a fab workshop session we had today with our guests at West Bretton Village Hall
Everyone made gorgeous unique designs and really followed their creative instincts to make something both beautiful and personal. We had some lovely scented eucalyptus foliage, sweetly fragrant broom, p***y willows and twisted willow branches. We also had some spring bulbs - perfect for nestling in to the damp moss base and creating a ‘living wreath’ that will continue to grow and develop over the coming weeks.
We even had some gorgeous pheasant feathers and some tiny quail eggs to add even more interest and detail. We enjoyed chocolate mini eggs and hot cross buns whilst sharing tips and tricks for wreath design.
We really hope you enjoyed spending a couple of hours of ‘you time’ with us and with each other - we certainly enjoyed hosting you!
Don’t forget to share your beautiful designs with your friends and family and tag us. We’ve already had some lovely photos back from one of our guests - check out the wreath against the gorgeous green door. What a beauty!

In the run up to British Flowers Week, we’re hosting a fabulous evening of floral design at one of our favourite venues, Holme Coffee House, Holmfirth
British Flowers Week is a national celebration of the bounty of beautiful British grown blooms. We’ll have a lovely selection for you to play with, you’ll create your own design and get to take it home in a pretty, contemporary vase.
Also included is a delicious artisan bread and olive dipping board. The fully licensed bar will be available all evening too! The evening promises to be a fabulous way to spend time with family or friends, faffing with flowers, learning something new and enjoying the hospitality of the lovely Holme Coffee House.

We’ve been super busy organising some of our 2023 events including some return visits to some of last year‘s hosts and some brand new venues too. We are working on an exciting range of events throughout the year - not just at Christmas time and not just wreaths!

Here's a little clip of the beautiful flower farm where we will be sourcing some of our British grown flowers for our upcoming event at Guest Dining Events in Farnley Tyas, Huddersfield. On 12th June from 12 noon, come and enjoy a delicious glass of something fizzy (elderflower, cucumber and sparkles was mentioned at our planning meeting!) and enjoy delicious canapés on arrival. Then we will have a demonstration of handtied bouquet making and you'll get to create your own design from the gorgeous selection of stems available. Finally, enjoy a wonderful afternoon tea, enjoy the licensed bar for more lovely sparkles and then take your pretty bouquet home. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends. The Upperthong Village Hall session in February has already had 9 places booked with just a handful remaining - so do book quickly if you were hoping to come! Plenty of spaces free at Springfield Mill. Another date and style of wreath workshop just arranged at the Eco Hub at Emley Business Park for 5th March. This one is a lovely natural design, perfect for a wild and whimsical look. Coming soon: 🌼🍱 - a ‘mouth-watering’ workshop at a new location in Denby Dale. We will artfully combine flowers and food for a fantastic experience to share with friends. This one sounds fab! Liz & I wish we could come as guests not tutors! 😆 🐰🐣 - a session to create a beautiful table centrepiece perfect for your Easter table. We will use spring bulbs, cut flowers and foliage to celebrate new life and spring at Easter time. The design will be flower-foam-free. Of course, there’ll be cake. Lots more being planned.
