Dear Guest Diners,

As you all know, the cost-of-living situation, combined with higher energy costs and the aftermath of COVID has made life exceedingly difficult for the hospitality sector.

The impact of all these factors, and the pessimistic forecast for the immediate future means that I have had to make the difficult decision to close The Barn as a venue, as its continued operation is unfeasible.

Guest Dining will continue as an outside caterer, providing our renowned service, but we will no longer have the venue at Farnley Tyas, which will close on 31 December 2022. I can still be contacted after that date, so, if you want a special event catered for at a venue of your choice – we just simply won’t have the Barn to host it.

In the meantime, we have lots of events coming up before we close the doors for the final time. Visit the website at www.guestdining.co.uk for more information.

I understand that this may come as a shock to you, but it is the right decision for me and for my business.

Once again, my thanks for your support over the years, and for your understanding. Please be assured of our commitment to continue providing the Guest Dining experience for your upcoming event.

On Tuesday 25 October 2022 (10am for a 10.30am start) Guest Dining, in conjunction with Bramble & Rose Flower School, is delighted to present an opportunity to learn how to make beautiful bouquets of Autumnal flowers.

Here at the Barn, in Farnley Tyas, join Liz and Anne-Marie, from Bramble & Rose Flower School, as they run a workshop with a demonstration of creating a beautiful floral design in a contemporary glass vase. They will be using fresh seasonal flowers and foliage in warm autumnal colours. After your demo, you’ll create your own floral design to take home in your lovely new vase with lots of hints and tips for recreating your design on your own in future.

Then you’ll enjoy a delicious two-course lunch and the warm hospitality of the Guest Dining staff. The day will conclude by approximately 3pm.

On Tuesday 25 October 2022 (10am for a 10.30am start) Guest Dining, in conjunction with Bramble & Rose Flower School, is delighted to present an opportunity to learn how to make beautiful bouquets of Autumnal British flowers.

Here at the Barn, in Farnley Tyas, join Liz and Anne-Marie, from Bramble & Rose Flower School, as they run a workshop with a demonstration of creating a beautiful floral design in a contemporary glass vase. They will be using fresh seasonal flowers and foliage in warm autumnal colours. After your demo, you’ll create your own floral design to take home in your lovely new vase with lots of hints and tips for recreating your design on your own in future.

Then you’ll enjoy a delicious two-course lunch and the warm hospitality of the Guest Dining staff. The day will conclude by approximately 3pm.

All for £70, including your own bouquet to take home.

Guest Dining has added a second fabulous Seafood Evening, but you need to act fast to avoid missing out!!

With the first evening selling out in quick order, we have decided to add a second new Seafood Evening on Friday 23rd September, at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Last weekend, we hosted Rachael & Stuart's Wedding here at the Barn, as well as catering for a belated significant birthday for Trish!

Wimbledon fortnight might be in full swing but, Guest Dining has places available at its pre-Christmas events!

We are half through Wimbledon, school exams and the school year are coming to an end, the days are at their longest, but here at Guest Dining we are planning for the autumn, and even for pre-Christmas!

Our exciting new events include Floral Bouquet, Wreath & Table Decoration Making

In conjunction with Liz & Anne-Marie, our good friends at Bramble & Rose Flower School, we are offering:

Autumn Flower Bouquet Making - Tuesday 25 October 10.30am
Traditional Christmas Wreath Making - Tuesday 29 November 10.30am
Traditional Christmas Wreath Making - Tuesday 29 November 6pm
Christmas Table Decoration Making - Thursday 19 December 10.30am

Prices start at £65, and each event comes with a two-course meal, and the warm hospitality of Guest Dining.
