When it was first suggested to me that it might be possible to get Aaron Stainthorpe of the doom legends My Dying Bride to narrate an Arð show, I have to confess I might have laughed.

I think the next sentence I said was “Well obviously that would be incredible but that’s never gonna happen”.

But it has. And I couldn’t be prouder.

It’s no exaggeration to say that without the work of the early doom pioneers like My Dying Bride and Paradise Lost, there would be no Arð.

So for Aaron to agree to weave the story of St Cuthbert in his own unique style, in amongst the unique performance of “Take Up My Bones” that will happen at Organic Doom on June 12 at Huddersfield Town Hall is quite extraordinary.

For the show to incorporate the power of the hall’s pipe organ along with the full metal band performance too, promises a unique experience for both band and crowd.

We’d love you to share the evening with us.

I can confidently say this will never be repeated.

Oh, and it’s only 11 quid a ticket.

And I’ve already sold tickets to more than one fan from Germany who are flying in especially. Incredible support.
