We've been harvesting and cooking surplus apples for West Berks Foodbank. with a great cooking team at Hungerford Methodist Church - kindly supported by Sheepdrove Organic Farm & Green Events Venue

We cooked the apples and a separate granola topping that can be combined to make a 'crumble' that can be eaten cold or warmed up quickly in the microwave - so you don't have to turn on the oven
And a tasty, warming soup that includes cooking apples. Recipes to follow!

Great weekend at Newbury Show - lovely to meet so many people of all ages interested in having a go at milling flour, churning butter and spinning wool!
