Hand over the reigns and enjoy yourself 🥂 Don’t worry about when the guests will come into the marquee, who is going to light the candles (William!), where people will put their coats, or how they will find the loos. This year Feathers Charity Ball Winter Ball is on two dates at the Ministry of Sound ~ 16th & 17th December, with 1,500 young party revellers on each night.

WBPO - William Bartholomew Party Organising and my team of DJs have been providing floor-filling music since 1972! In fact me and my party partner Angus Gibson DJ’d together at the Ball for many many years. First at the Lyceum Ballroom, then the Hammersmith Palais, and now the Ministry of Sound Club.

Our Brilliant DJ Harry Tufnell has been DJ for the last 5 years …professional at packing everyone onto the dance floor 🪩

The Feathers Charity Ball Winter Ball is in aid of the wonderful Feathers Association which has been running for 90 years and helps so many young people by funding sustainable youth projects, creating opportunities, and serving communities.

have asked me for my expertise on the Seating Plan at a wedding or big party. My experience teaches me that the best way to do the seating plan is to make placements (place cards), where each guest has a little envelope with their name on, and the table name or number is written inside.

Our Jack & the wonderful Emma 💍 it was ‘the thrill of a lifetime’ watching their wedding in amongst the vines at Carvers Hill Estate winery.

We are so happy and delighted for them. Thank goodness they had a good DJ & Party Organiser! 🤣 watch out when Emma gets on the decks.

WBPO recently organised a party at one of our favourite restaurants, The Waterside Inn, Bray. With Greenhill Marquees we built a stunning framed marquee looking out over the River Thames. A fabulous lunch was provided by Alain Roux and his merry team of chefs. The staff at The Waterside Inn really know how to look after their guests, all under the careful eye of Frederic the General Manager. Within the marquee, party guests enjoyed world famous entertainment with stunning lighting by WBPO - William Bartholomew Party Organising, chandeliers (of course) by Crescent Moon and beautiful flowers by @SarahBaveFlowers. I was listening to Zoe Ball last Friday and she played The Rocky Horror Show's Time Warp. It took me back to London in the 1970s. For years and years the King's Road Theatre showed Richard O'Brien’s fabulously outrageous Rocky Horror Show every night. Tim Curry as Dr. Frank-N-Furter and the wonderful Charles Gray as the Narrator. Charles later starred in You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever. In fact I organised a party for him in the late 1970s - now that was a party! It was a must-see theatre experience - queues down the King's Road, everyone dressing up in stockings, tights and high heels (and that was just the men!) @angus_gibson_gibson and I always included Time Warp and Sweet Transvestite in our party sets. Make-up and long boots were all the rage at parties....and suspenders – but that was just Angus 🤣 🎶 “It’s just a jump to the left and a step to the right."……. need I say more. Happy carefree days. What a blast from the past.
