This lovely girl is really special to me. She was one of my very first prom girls…fast forward to now and here she is all grown up and loved by another, and not just her lovely family. Chloe knew she didn’t want a traditional dress and with my printed organza she plumped for black, white and grey. Then we did her bridesmaids in burnt orange and I set about cutting hundred of flowers out of the extra material ordered to embellish the bottom.
And here she is in all her magnificent glory. ❤️❤️❤️
Chloe, you looked truly amazing. Thank you for trusting me again, it’s been a joy and a pleasure to see you grow into the lovely woman you have become, proof that the acorn never falls too far from the tree.

We all have those sort of days where you start off doing what should be an hours job, but three hours later you’re pulling your hair out. Any form of decoration, whether it’s wallpapering, gardening, painting, bespoke bridal is 90% prep, it’s rethreading the machine, after you’ve rewound bobbins, after you’ve bought new thread, after you’ve hand cut bias binding at 45 degrees, after you’ve put all your equipment for cutting in one place, after you’ve prepped your work station and always after a huge mug of coffee.
Good job I’ve loved working with this lovely autumnal bride who is bringing two cultures together and bringing the best of traditions. These are the weddings I love, they push the boundaries and push my creativity.
But some days handsewing just pushes me over the bloody edge…😂
This is one of them.

Hopefully this bride will allow me t share her photos after her autumnal wedding.
Watch this space, she’s going to be beautiful I’m sure.

Veil cleaning. ❤️

Why you need to get your veil cleaned as much as your dress.

1) Most brides spray perfume over themselves just before walking down the aisle, most perfumes are alcohol and oil based and this leaves a residue that over time turns yellow, these photos show a cathedral veil near the comb and again near the base, see the colour variation of the two. In the left is the floor edge, on the right is the comb edge.

2) It’s the most ‘something borrowed’ item any bride is happy to reuse. Many times mums want their daughters to wear their dress but believe me, for various reasons, it rarely works out, however, a veil is often the compromise. Same with friends too.

3) The longer it’s left, the more discoloured it becomes. This veil was only used this summer and already it’s starting to discolour. Imagine if it was Granny’s wedding veil from 1960s, I’ve had them too. 🥹

4) Many brides get rid of their dress either by selling it or gifting it, often because of the space they take, but many do keep their veil, it’s a wonderful keepsake of a perfect day.

5) With all my boxed cleans, I’m doing a free veil clean and steam until Christmas. I only do so many cleans per month due to the time each dress takes, you just need to book in to secure your slot. Many brides pre book before their wedding knowing their dress is taken care of whilst they are on honeymoon, and from my point of view, the sooner a dress is cleaned the better the outcome.

Mother and daughter bridesmaids…it’s always lovely to have photos together of a moment in time but non moreso than when you’re bridesmaids together.

I’ve known this lovely lady for a number of years now and seen her flourish with her career and family. She recently introduced her amazing auntie to me (the bride) who was getting married to her lovely long term partner and the connections were truly insane. The bride was born in the same year in the same town as my husband, both from RAF families, and my husband and her were happy to talk for hours, tbf, the conversation did flow between the four of us when her and her husband came to collect the wedding dress. Anyways….Fiona and her daughter were both bridesmaids in the loveliest of dresses by .rose.bridal here in vintage pink and with their lovely furs and flowers they certainly looked autumnal and cosy.

Thanks for the introduction again Fiona, it’s always lovely to see you, and thank you for sharing such lovely photos too.

Two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Yvonne knew she didn’t want a traditional wedding dress when she married the love of her life and came to me to see what alternatives I had, well, my rose gold designer dress by was exactly what she was looking for for her wedding last week and when teamed with a fur wrap she looked elegant and beautiful and timeless and classic.
Just perfect.

Thank you for trusting me Yvonne, both my husband and I enjoyed meeting you both, the similarities with you and my husband were uncanny. We wish you a lifetime of happiness together.

I love it when brides send me photos, otherwise I never get to see my dresses with hair and make up, flowers and backgrounds all looking finished and perfect, and when they pop up it makes my heart soar and I get quite emotional tbh…..

Beautiful Shannon got married in Cyprus, a place on my hitlist of places to visit tbh, it looks perfect in every way but especially for lovely weddings. Shannon chose one of my dresses by here a beautiful 3D lace dress that’s cut on the bias to flow beautifully.
