I would say that about 40% of my weddings this year have been abroad, most are in sunny climates with Cyprus being the number one destination along with America, Italy, Ibiza, and the Caribbean not far behind, but not all elopements need to be like this. I had one in south Africa, New Zealand and Canada too, all in cooler months, but non in the snow. Whether you’re a skier or not, snow is always magical.

These fabrics are actually the same, the pink and green version is beautiful for summer weddings, but if pinks not your thing, then let’s go for the black and white version and add a colour of your choice.

This bride had the loveliest of autumn weddings @millingbarn and had bridesmaid dresses in this orange. Chloe knew she wanted something a little quirky and went for a black and white dress which was further enhanced by cutting out hundreds of flowers from the leftovers and bringing it to the next level.
It’s then come back to me for its post wedding clean and is now going to be wrapped in acid free paper and stored in a beautiful box by @theemptyboxcompanyltd

The worse park is the unpicking of seethrough threads 😭 I don’t normally do my brides alterations, I literally don’t have the time, but if it’s quiet and the sewing machines out, it’s something I’ll crack on with. I’ve enough alterations of my own to do from clothes I was going to wear summer 2022😂😂😂.
I have a list of seamstresses that I’m always happy to recommend and some people think alterations are a lot cheaper than they are, but the reason for posting is to give them a shout out. When a wedding dress can often take a week sometimes, how much would you pay a plumber or electrician for a weeks work? It’s their job and their expertise, get have worked hard, many doing a masters in needlework, and I always tell them #knowyourworth women should always empower women, men don’t quibble when paying for the car mechanic, plumber, lawyer, electrician, or dentist.
