Looking back at the busiest year yet for Blossom and Bee, and I can’t quite believe this all happened.I want to say a huge thank you to all of the couples who trusted me with their big day, it is a huge privilege and I will never take it for granted. And to my 2025 and 2026 couples, I can’t wait to work with you and create magic ✨ As well as my own weddings, I do a lot of freelancing work, and I want to shout out to all the brilliant florists that I’ve worked with this year, for all the laughter, advice and friendship, working alone can be tough at times and you all make it so much easier. And to the brilliant suppliers that I work with - the growers, wholesalers, venues, photographers, caterers and cake makers - who work so incredibly hard behind the scenes, thank you for all your help and support. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year 🌸🐝Photographers featured - .photography .wander .greenbrooke

New Blog - Sunset Inspired Wedding Flowers At The Hyde Estate

Yes, it’s true, I have finally written a blog!

Alexandra and Lorcan’s wedding at the stunning was one of the largest weddings that I have worked on to date, and my husband described the colour palette as “peak Blossom and Bee”. The day was captured beautifully by the very talented

If you think you don’t like chrysanthemums, then I’m afraid you might be wrong? They’re in season right now and there are so many gorgeous varieties, which you won’t be seeing in the supermarkets, so please don’t write them off!

These beautiful Avignon Pink chrysanthemums were grown , which is about three minutes from my house, lucky me!

Did you know that every single stem of your wedding flowers is individually cared for from the second it arrives?

Starting days before your wedding, each stem is stripped of its excess leaves and thorns, and then re-cut and given a long drink overnight. This is called conditioning, and is done to ensure that your flowers reach their peak beauty on your big day.

Typically for a Saturday wedding, the majority of flowers are delivered or collected on the Wednesday beforehand, with more delicate varieties arriving on the Thursday or Friday.

Some flowers are a bit more needy than others (hello peonies!!) and require careful monitoring and changes to their environment to achieve perfection 🌸🐝

A couple of weeks I got to meet the lovely Susie from who makes the most beautiful stoneware pottery at her studio in Henfield, including these lovely flower stones.

I first heard of Susie through Charlie so it seemed only right that I fill mine with Charlie’s beautiful dahlias.

The flower stones are so easy to work with, and just such beautiful pieces of pottery in their own right. Mine will be on show from now on, and I would encourage you to add one to your Christmas list too! If you’re curious to learn more about them head over to where Susie has lots of great ‘how to’ videos.

A moment for this cake meadow ❤️

The most elegant cake created by - the finish was immaculate, and just look at that bow! Once the cake was in place, I added the florals in pinks, peaches and blues.

This is a great way to add florals into your wedding cake in a safe way. Let me know if you would like to do the same.
