Hannah & Craig // Fasque House

What a day celebrating the wedding of Hannah & Craig up at Fasque house! Weather on point for the newlyweds as guests mingled outside & we were treated in the afternoon to three amazing heartfelt speeches.

Hey! This is Rob , the face of , definitely prefer being behind the camera and not in front of it 🤣

Just wanted to say Hello and a long over due catchup ( my first post that I was told I should have done at 1000 followers

35 years old, husband to Danielle & Dad to Eilidh! Iv recently went full time into film making & adjusting to the self unemployed lifestyle 😆

I have really scaled back my filming style, shooting handheld with one small prime lens with the real focus of filming your wedding day as it is.

I’m here to make a film about your wedding rather than turning your wedding into a film, I won’t be asking you to make those smouldering looks at my camera ( I die a little when I see that in films)

I love using natural light , reflections and the use of ambient sounds from your day, GREAT heartfelt vows, emotional speeches really pull my films together.

Today I done a thing…..I Handed in my notice from the 9-5 corporate life & now going full time with my company Black Fern Media. Scared / excited for what the future will bring.

I look back to where I was in my life 5 years ago & not really sure I was on the right path, iv built this little business up for the last 3 & a half years on the side of working full time.

I want to thank my old manager Jordan who’s always been my top fan on the socials and in the office, Tony from KLS who helped start my journey and got me into weddings , David from Arrow productions who taught me loads about cameras and how a wedding day is structured.

Last year I met Adam Stanley who has shown me whats possible when being self employed ( a fellow local film maker who brought me into a project which over the last 11 months we have been working on, il talk about more in massive update next month )

my number one side chick, Danielle who has held the fort together with bringing Eilidh into the world & raising her as my little hobby that became a passion and now something I make a living from, forever thankful for the support I have received from you!

If you have got this far, it’s quite emotional typing this, taking leap into the unknown but Im going to give it my best.

So thanks to everyone who books, recommends, likes and shares social media posts it really does mean the world and now I feel I need it more than ever

Claire & Scott // The Den

wow wow , this day went so fast & the weather gods were truly on our side with it only raining when we were setting up for the speeches.

always a firm favourite filming at the Den, Audrey & Joanne keep the place running perfectly on time.

shout our to Matthew on photos, so considerate and mindful that Us videographers are on tripods making sure we also get the shots we needed, would highly recommend ( & thankfully because it turns out we have quite a bookings coming up together )

It’s always a privilege to be asked to film a wedding and even more so when it’s abroad.

Wooft shows you how easy it is to neglect the Facebook during peak wedding season.

Eh news in the business got a studio space with some cool dudes with some amazing projects happening going forward.

Danielle already got the colour charts to convert the home office back to a bedroom 🥲

Celebrating our Wedding anniversary tomorrow with some chill time before Danielle heads back to work too. soon

Out the country at the end of the week on a stag do then back to the grind of edits / filming

Bordeaux // Château Gassies

It was early on in my filming journey & I was lucky enough to be trusted to make a wedding film for Catherine & Mark, all the way to Bordeaux! I was put up in what I can only describe as one of the most luxurious rooms I have ever stayed in. Scrolling back through some footage I decided to make a small reel focusing on ambient sounds & scratch audio & I love the way it turned out. It’s actually got me super excited for the films il be making this year. Last year a couple of guests from this wedding in Bordeaux booked me to do it all over again this July in Italy & I can’t stop staring at the venue Forever grateful where my camera has taken me the last few years. 🪴🎥
