The final march away from the Avenches Tattoo.
Full house and standing ovations for each performance, it's fair to say that we were very well appreciated.
A wee bit of jig entertainment at the end of the night 😁👍
Finale rehearsals. 28π heat 🥵
The big highlight of the year, Glasgow Green for the World Pipe Band Championships 2024.
The City of Inverness grade 3A will be performing at 1152am.
Good luck to all bands, it's staying dry so far 😁👍
Fantastic location for a lovely wedding, away from the humdrum, at Shieldaig Lodge.
As photos were being taken, I played some well known airs including, 'The Skye Boat Song'.
Back on home turf today, on duty with the City of Inverness Pipe Band (4B & 3A) at the Inverness Highland Games. The weather was very kind to us in comparison to other years!!
In traditional Greek style, wedding ceremonies are typically late in the evening which means the wedding breakfast/reception, is even later. This one didn't start until 1030pm and continued until 440am!! 😲
Eleni and Dario exiting the church as Mr and Mrs in front of their family and friends. #wedding #weddingplanners #piperforhire #weddingpiper
Eleni arriving at the church for her big day. I don't know how she was feeling in her beautiful wedding dress, but I was certainly feeling the heat in my kilt 🥵
Playing to guests arriving at Eleni and Dario's wedding, St. Andrew's Church, Patras, Greece.
As a mark of respect and in honour of the 80th anniversary of those who fell on the Normandy beaches on 6th June 1944, I attended the Commonwealth War Graves monument, Tomnahurich Cemetery, Inverness, the now forever home to 171 casualties of World War's I and II, where I played 'When the Battle's O'er' in remembrance.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.
Just received some photos and a short clip from last week's tourist presentation at the Caledonian Hotel, Fort William. No prizes but, name the real tune, not the Elvis version!!!!!!
In September 2023, I was tasked to help a Belgian TV company filming at Tulloch Castle, Dingwall.
The series of programmes is called, 'Niks te zien' (nothing to see) hosted by a lovely man, a blind presenter called Karl. Throughout the series he invites well known artists to various countries where they go on adventures together experiencing the world through taste and sound.
On this occasion I was honoured to play for rap star Coely, also known locally in Belgium as Queen C.
This was a fun experience to be involved with and now that the programme has aired, I can now release photos and videos. Enjoy.
Another night another tourist piping presentation! I keep telling them that Mull of Kintyre is a pop song but it doesn't stop them asking for it. 😂😂. #corporateevent #corporateevents #piperforhire #tourism
