Alan MacPherson, started DJ'ing in 1998 and in 2004 started promoting club nights in Inverness under the name Frequency then to be audiolife with friend Darren Malley. At this time nowhere in Inverness accommodated or played the underground music they were trying to promote so creating their own night was the only option, aiming to give local DJs a platform to play on, already established DJ's
headlined the nights and emerging DJ's played for the first hour. Alan then went on to play at various clubs in and around Inverness still supporting local talent and in July 2008 hosting the 1st ever club night at the Ironworks Inverness. Always looking to keep things different holding 3D party's with dedicated 3D visuals with everyone who attended wearing 3D glasses, nights with Fire dancers, Podium dancers and on one occassion money suspended inside balloons held above the dance floor and dropped onto the crowd at the end off the night. Lazers, extra lights and projected visuals became a standard for Audiolife nights. He also held a Charity gig along with Bakoo nightclub, supporting DJ's and public raised £1630 for Diabetes UK. In August 2008 booking Deadmau5 a little unknown producer at the time and little did he know that in the space of months Deadmau5 would go on to become one of the biggest DJ/producer in the world at the time playing at Creamfields, Colours Glasgow and audiolfe all in one weekend, the hype that surrounded this night was unbelievable it was and still could be one of the biggest club nights held in Inverness. Then going onto play along side as warm up DJ to Funk D'void, Phil Kierin, Mark Sherry, Justin Robertson, Michael Kilkie, James Lavelle, Altern-8, Soul of Man, Kissy Sell Out, Graeme Park, Harvey McKay, Streetlife djs, Firas, Tom Middleton, Cagedbaby, Dave Clarke, Debukas, Mark Archer, The Noisemaker, Slam, Gary Beck, Silicone Soul, Hans Bouffmyhre, Nathan Coles, Harri & Domenic, Octave One, A Guy Called Gerald, Jon Desilva, Mr. C , Vitalic and being invited to play at festivals and venues including Belladrum Festival, The Mad Ferret Festival, Rockness, Groove Cairngorm, The Picture House, The Vault, The Loft, Motion, Bakoo, Snafu and SWG3.
