🧪🔬 It’s been scientifically FUN at Science Sunday! 🔬🧪
Our wee scientists had SOOOOO much fun making their very own lava lamps — just look at the mess and magic in the pics below to prove it! 🌈✨

Big thanks to the awesome cleaning staff at Eastgate Shopping Centre 🧹🧼 for helping clean up all our bubbly, colourful chaos, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Here’s what we used to make our Lava Lamps:
• 🛢️ Oil (because it floats on water!)
• 🍶 Vinegar (heavier than oil and reacts with baking soda!)
• 🥄 Baking Soda (creates all the fizzy bubbles!)
• 🎨 Food Colouring (for that bright colourful pop!)

🧠 Fun Science Fact:
When baking soda and vinegar mix, they make carbon dioxide gas the same fizzy magic found in your favourite fizzy juice! 🥤✨
That’s what makes the lava blobs float and bounce around! 🫧

🌟 Lava Lamp Fun Facts! Bubbling Energy 🌟

Tomorrow at Eastgate Shopping Centre Kids Club, we’re getting super creative with DIY Lava Lamps!
Here’s some cool science magic behind the bubbles:

🛢️ Oil — Oil is lighter than water, so it floats on top! That’s why it makes those amazing floating blobs.

🍶 Vinegar — Vinegar is heavier than oil and it mixes with baking soda to create fizzy, bubbly reactions!

🎨 Food Colouring — Food colouring mixes with the vinegar (not the oil) so you can see the magic happening in bright colours!

🥄 Baking Soda — Baking soda and vinegar create a gas called carbon dioxide — and that’s what makes your lava lamp bubble and bounce!

🧪 Science Explorer Fact:
When you mix baking soda and vinegar, you create a chemical reaction!
It produces carbon dioxide gas, the same bubbly magic found in fizzy drinks!
That’s what brings your lava lamp to life!

We’ve tried, tested, and we’re LAVA LAMP READY!

🎉🔬🌈 Eastgate Shopping Centre Nevis Kidz Club Science Sunday – A Huge Success! 🎉🔬🌈

We’re back, and what a day it was! Our Science Sunday, hosted in partnership with Eastgate Nevis Kidz Club, was an absolute blast! Over 80 children and parents joined us to explore the magic of science, and our new home upstairs by the mountain wall was the perfect setting.

✨ The star experiment? Rainbow Milk! A hands-on, colorful chemistry explosion that wowed kids and parents alike🥛🌈

Missed out? Don’t worry—we’re back again on Sunday, 27th April for more exciting science fun! Plus, keep an eye out for Easter Kidz Club activities—check the Eastgate website for all the details on dates and times.

🔭🦠🎶🧤 Science Sundays 🔭🦠🎶🧤

We just wrapped up our second month of Science Sundays at Eastage’s Nevis Club, and it was an absolute blast! Our lemon volcanoes erupted mightily 🌋, sparking creativity as we gave them fun names and yes, we made plenty of fun mess along the way! 🤩🧪

Remember, we meet on the last Sunday of every month. Plus, we’ve introduced our brand-new Royalty Card for Science Sundays! 🎟️ Ask any team member for your card if you’d like to join our club, your support never goes unnoticed! 💙🙌
