🚀 Science Sunday at Eastgate Shopping Centre Nevis Club hosted by FITkidz Events Inverness 🚀

This month we explored the world of rockets, air compression, and forces ✨

Our young scientists experimented with:
• Air Pressure – using empty bottles and compressed air
• Testing how different pressures create different forces
• And of course… launching rockets! 🎉

The kids had FUN, and the parents got stuck in too, science fun for everyone. 💥

A huge thank you to our Scientist-in-Training Assistant Abi and our brilliant STEM Embassatear Kirsty Pryer for joining us and making the session extra special! 👏

🎉 This weeks Nevis Kids Club Highlights! 🎨🍓

This week at Eastgate Shopping Centre, our Tuesday session was bursting with creativity as we made our own smoothies complete with fun and imaginative names like Sunshine Slipper and Fire Desire! 🥤💥

Wednesday, we got hands-on with science sand art and it was SO much fun! The kids absolutely loved it, and we’ve shared some of our favourite snaps below. 📸✨

🙏 A big thank you to everyone who visited us, especially the lovely tourists from all around the world 🌍 it’s been amazing to welcome you to Inverness! We’ve seen around 130 kids over the past couple of days and loved every minute 💛

📅 Next week (Wednesday 11–3) is our final club of the summer, don’t miss our End of Summer Party with treats, games, and surprises to celebrate an incredible few weeks together! 🎈🎉

We hope to see you there for one last summer adventure! 🌞💛

🧪 Science Sunday Recap – Elephant Toothpaste Fun! 🧪

This month’s Elephant Toothpaste experiment was another popular hit! We made a sample together, and then the children got to mix, pour, and discover their own bubbly reactions. Their curious minds loved it!

👩‍🔬 Here’s a reminder of what we used so you can try it again at home:

You’ll need:
• 1 empty juice bottle or plastic bottle
• White vinegar
• A good sq**rt of washing-up liquid (soap)
• A few drops of red and blue food colouring
• A heaped spoon of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
