Also, my top tips for tulip care - keep out of direct sunlight, trim the stem and replace the water every 2-3 days.

I love the way tulips take on a natural form in the vase, but if you prefer them to remain upright, use a high neck vase and pierce the stem just below the head with a pin, this allows a good flow of water to the stem and head! 💚

I have also have Mariage with pastel pink double heads which resemble peonies and Double Flag with double purple heads.

The lovely thing about tulips is they continue to grow and open and will look even more amazing in the coming days in your favourite vase!

💚🌷Eventually I have my first tulips for sale at £12 per bunch 💚🌷
These are not just any old tulips!! These are locally grown and called Silver Parrot, they shall open into a large pink rippled bloom with frilly edges “adorable” as my Daughter would say!!

Grabbing a bunch for yourself or a friend couldn’t be easier, drop me a message, I shall confirm my address and you can collect from Kintore whenever suits you.

One thing about growing flowers, I have no control, the weather and nature control it all.
I have these beautiful Narcissus - Cumlaude flowering, but I am still waiting, not so patiently, for the tulips to arrive, they shall come. But meantime I shall enjoy these on the windowsill, while keeping a close eye on the tulips!

💚 It’s the perfect time of year to make a bulb lasagne.
Snowdrops, crocus, narcissi, tulips, iris, alliums, lilies would all work well. It’ll provide a lovely bit of colour in the spring, give it a go.
