It's been a while since we did an "about us" post and we've got lots of lovely new followers! This post covers most information on us but if you would like to know anything else about us or our business, let us know in the comments! ❤️
We like to keep things a little more personal here at PLD, particularly for weddings...it's important that you find suppliers you can trust and that you share a connection with when you're putting your special day in their hands 🥰
🌟 So who are we?
I'm Gemma 🙋♀️ the one you'll usually be chatting with and the one who plans your day with you. I started PLD together with my dad, Billy (chief heavy lifter and grafter) around 18 months ago. We came up with our business idea while I was planning my own wedding. Having ran businesses in other sectors, we saw a good opportunity to not only build a brand but to create something special and rewarding. I've always been an obsessive planner with an eye for detail so I saw a chance to combine it all and bring something new to life. We invested a huge amount of time and finances into researching and finding top quality items and we decided to take a risk and fill a wedding dècor showroom before we even had a wedding booking! Fast forward 18 months and after an insane amount of hard work and (literal) blood, sweat and tears... we've just came out of our first wedding season which was more incredible than we could ever have hoped for and we continue to grow from strength to strength.
🌟 Our industry experience (so far!)
We've dressed weddings at amazing venues up and down the country and have been added to supplier lists everywhere from Inverurie to Kelso, repeatedly being recognised for our hard work and professionalism to not only our clients, but venues too. Oh and did I mention we're industry award finalists? 🤩
We are constantly researching and finding new ways to improve our services for our clients and rely very much on client feedback.
🌟 What makes us stand out?
Quality and service are our priority, no matter the event.
For wedding couples you can be safe in the knowledge that we build our business around what I wanted to hear as a bride. I have that empathy with you, I know how overwhelmed and terrified you are and I'm here to help you both through it allowing you the excitement of planning how your day will look, without any of the hard work.
You aren't simply hiring props, you're hiring our time and our expertise. I will have spent days worth of time chatting with you before we even get to your wedding. Prop hire makes a room look nice, it's the Pretty Little Details that make it special 😉
🌟 How do we price our wedding services?
Our quotes are all bespoke to you based on what you're looking for. We choose not to work with set packages, not because there's anything wrong with them if that's your preference but because we offer more than simply delivering items and setting them up and it's impossible to reflect that in a set package. Every wedding is different. Some people require more time than others, some venues require more time than others and we consider and plan for every factor.
"Budget friendly" and "luxury" are terms that get branded around very loosely in the wedding industry and they mean something different to everyone. To put it bluntly, we aren't going to be your cheapest quote but for what you get in terms of service and quality we're certainly excellent value.
For weddings we currently operate with a £500 minimum spend. This is to reflect the time spent with our clients providing showroom visits and consultation time, the time ourselves and our team spend travelling to set up and pack up your wedding. It allows us to provide the same service to every client.
