Garioch Indoor Bowling Centre Renames Stadium to 'Jason Banks Arena' in Honour of Historic Achievements The Garioch Indoor Bowling Centre has officially renamed its indoor bowls stadium the 'Jason Banks Arena', honouring local bowling star Jason Banks following his historic achievements at the 2025 World Indoor Bowls Championships. The unveiling took place today, with Jason Banks and members of the Garioch Indoor Bowling Centre in attendance, celebrating his incredible success on the world stage. Banks, a long-time member of the club, made history by securing a hat-trick of world titles at the championships, winning the Open Singles, Open Pairs (with Michael Stepney), and Mixed Pairs (with Beth Riva). His Open Singles victory over England’s Robert Paxton (10-4, 11-9) cemented his place as one of the sport’s rising stars. In recognition of his outstanding achievements and the pride he has brought to the local community, the club has renamed its stadium to inspire future generations of bowlers. The Garioch Indoor Bowling Centre is inviting new players of all ages to try their hand at bowls in honour of Jason Banks.
