We are thrilled to announce that we have had 2 chicks successfully hatch and they are thriving.🐥🐣

🦅Osprey Update 🦅
On a dreich day at Lochter we have captured the return of our second resident Osprey Libby!
They have done a brilliant job of rebuilding the nest in preparation for the chicks 🐣
We would expect them to lay their eggs towards the end of April/beginning of May... fingers crossed 🤞

🤩The Lochter Ospreys are back!🤩
We are delighted to announce that the Lochter resident ospreys have returned.🦅
Pictured below is what we believe to be the male Osprey (Branson) starting to re-build and tidy the nest for the female Osprey (Libby) return. Branson has a bit of weeding to do before the nest is ready for any chicks 😂
We had 2 chicks successfully hatch and fledge the nest in 2023 and 4 chicks in 2022. How many do you think they will have this year?🐣

Breakfast time! Our 2 Osprey chicks are really thriving now, this is their second breakfast of the day with another trout caught from our own lochs. 🐟
🦅Osprey Update🦅 We are delighted to announce that our resident Ospreys have successfully hatched 2 chicks over the weekend!! The first hatched during the day on Friday with the second arriving between Saturday and Sunday. Between feeding sessions our female is still sitting tight, so we are hopeful the third egg may hatch over the next day or so.🐣

We are sad to say we are saying goodbye to Megan. She has worked at Lochter for about 9 years now starting off as a waitress in the coffee shop and once completing her studies in event management moving up to the office to take on the busy organising and running of our bookings & events. She is off to challenge herself at something new and we wish her all the very best. She has been a great colleague who has worked hard over the years to help the success of our business grow.
