It's nearly time for us to switch on the Christmas Lights again! We'll be starting slightly earlier this year, with the display on 4-9pm every day from 26th November to 31st December!

We've added even more lights and have a brand new soundtrack, and are thrilled to be raising money for again this year as always!

It's a new record!!

We may only be around two thirds of the way through the month, but we've already broken our previous best year's total for St Elizabeth Hospice! As of last night, this year's display has raised £891.14, which makes this the biggest total yet, and there's still 13 days left so we've upped our target on JustGiving again!

We're now about half way through this year's display, and have been overwhelmed by the incredible support so far! As of last night, we've raised £686.41 for St. Elizabeth Hospice, and there's still half of the month to go!

Thank you so much to everyone who's donated and visited so far, your lovely comments really mean the world to us and make it all so worthwhile! This is our 10th year raising money for the Hospice with our light show, and puts our total to date at over £4100 since we began back in 2013!

If you'd like to come and check out the brand new 10 minute light show, you can press the big red button to start the lights and music any time 4-9pm until the end of the year! You'll find us in the middle of Lister Road (just off Norwich Road), IP1 5EQ.

Today's the big day with the switch on for The Aleksic Christmas Lights! We're collecting money for St Elizabeth Hospice again this year, with our running total currently sitting at over £3500 raised for them since we started the display back in 2013!

We'll post more on our socials through the month, but are looking forward to finally being able to share the brand new show with lots of our neighbours tonight! The lights will then be on from 4pm-9pm every night through December - come and press the button on Rudolph's big red nose to start the 10 minute display with music! We're in the middle of Lister Road, IP1 5EQ - you can't miss us!

There's lots of new elements this year, including a projection screen, 900 pixel mega tree, extra festoon, 9 extra stars & other props on the house, and lots more - as well as a new soundtrack for the lights to 'dance' to!

Once we've rigged everything on the house, the first job before we can start programming is to map each pixel to it's physical location. Here's a little look at our map for this year! We've got well over 3000 individually controlled pixels, and the software needs to know exactly where each one of those is!

Now to get on with programming the brand new 10 minute light show!

Just over a month until the big switch on!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated this year, we're thrilled to have absolutely smashed all of our previous records raising £851.74 for St Elizabeth Hospice in December, bringing the total we've raised with the lights since 2013 to £2,678!

We'll be back with a brand new display, bigger and better than ever this December, but for now here's a really badly recorded video of our 2021 light show (sorry.... hopefully you'll get the idea if you missed it in person)!

This is it! Tonight's the last night for The Aleksic Christmas Lights 2021 before we switch everything off for 11 months! We've raised just over £850 for St. Elizabeth Hospice this year, but there's still today to come along and have a look at the display (4-9pm) and donate - then we'll announce the final figure in a few days. Thank you so much to everyone who's already been to have a look at this year's display and/or donated to St. Elizabeth Hospice - we're thrilled to say we've just overtaken last year's donation total of £662.46, making this our best year ever, and there's still over a week to go!

If you haven't been yet, there's still plenty of time! Simply come along between 4pm & 9pm before the end of the year and press the big red button to start the 9 minute light show & music! We're in the middle of Lister Road (just off Norwich Road), Ipswich, IP1 5EQ.

We're back! The Aleksic Christmas Lights will be back & bigger than ever for 2021 and we've just finished putting up and testing all of the new pixels for this year - we've added 1193 LEDs, each individually mapped to their physical location on the house and fully controlable meaning we can play with some new effects! I couldn't resist sharing a little clip of a few of the initial test patterns...
