Wow, what a very busy few weeks! Here’s just a few pictures from where we have been including an agricultural spray exhibition, a lovely wedding at Debach Airfield and build up at the Norfolk Show. Next stop for us is Heveningham Country Fair.

Last weekend we were kindly invited by Aldeburgh Town Council to be part of their family fun day. It’s a shame the weather was awful but those who braved it had a great time! We even had a fly past by the red arrows. We look forward to returning again soon.

Last weekend we attended a local birthday party with our 1947 Coulson Minor Mobile. The children loved it and we received so many nice compliments from the parents. If you would like to hire us or attend your next event, please speak with us.

It was also an important week for our Swingboats as they had their annual safety test which we are pleased to advise passed with flying colours.

Although we love to restore and repaint most of our equipment ourselves, we recently commissioned well known fairground artist Chris Thomas from the West Country to design and paint us a traditional advertising sign to display at events. We love it!! Thank you Chris

We are proud to present our latest acquisition joining our Vintage Amusement collection.

Built in 1947 by F W Coulson of Ripon, North Yorkshire, this vintage minor mobile merry go round was purchased new by Peeks of Bournemouth Ltd.

This minor merry go round was used in various holiday parks and open markets up until the 1980’s, after which it disappeared into storage until 2014 when it was purchased as an investment. It then changed hands again in 2016 when restoration was started and completed in 2018.

Since then, it has spent many a summer entertaining the people of Jersey.

This is one of only a handful left in existence and we can’t wait to present it at local events.

Along with our swing boats, this ride is totally Eco friendly only requiring muscle power!

New for 2024, we are able to offer our new 9m wide marquees. The picture shows a 9m x 21m marquee, suitable for up to 210 guests seated and a smaller 9m x 9m, perfect for garden parties, special occasions and shows.

A look back at another fabulous wedding we hosted last year, this time a clearspan frame marquee, fully lined and carpeted. We also hired the toilets in on the customers behalf and provided some fairground fun and games!

We loved hosting this wedding on our land last year. We often get asked whether the marquee needs to be lined but as you can see, they can look equally as stunning without.

Last week we teamed up with our friends from Event Catering The Curry Cart to provide an afternoon BBQ for a company based on a local business park. Employees of the company enjoyed complimentary drinks and food, what a great way to spend an afternoon!

It’s been ‘all the fun of the fair’ for us these last two weekends. We have been out with our Festival Swingboats, ever popular Coconut Shy and the children’s favourite, Hook a duck within one of our traditional fairground round stalls. As always, it’s a pleasure to work with local parish councils bringing a little colour to their events.

A big thank you to all who have supported us on this very busy weekend. We have had the pleasure of providing local Parish Councils with Marquee Hire, Furniture Hire, Generator Hire and not forgetting some of our Vintage Amusements! Time to get the equipment washed and dried before our next stop at the South Suffolk Show next week.

Something a little different today providing caterering for a local book launch. Was lovely to be working in conjunction with Event Catering The Curry Cart . As per the request of the customer, our drinks station was set up within the workshop with lots for people to see including the motorbike and sidecar which featured in Indiana Jones.
