As LGBTQIA+ history month is coming to an end and I’m halfway through my level 2 and this is something that was covered. I thought I’d share some of the 🤯 things I’ve learnt:
🏳️🌈 Homos*xuality (the reports term) activity was finally legal ten years after the Wolfenden committee report was written(1957)! However it was still illegal under 21!
🏳️🌈 It was written in law as males that were illegal not females! Is this why we still see that stigma now?
🏳️🌈 it took decades to have the age reduced in line with straight people.
🏳️🌈 Section 28 was brought in by the Conservative Party - the same party that today are causing damaging effects right now to the LGBTQIA+ especially trans community.
🏳️🌈 Pride started in New York a year after the Stonewall Inn riots, when the community said enough is enough as even though it was legal, punishments, imprisonment and raids raised three fold!
🏳️🌈 LGBTQIA+ History month is celebrated in February because it is in the same month that Section 28 was repealed 🙌🏻
🏳️🌈 It will be ten years this year that gay marriage took effect in the UK 🎉
🏳️🌈 the first same s*x marriage was on the 29th March 2014

🌟 Happy rare disease day to my two little superstars 🌟
Cockayne syndrome (CS) is a rare genetic disorder where the DNA can’t repair itself. Ella was diagnosed with CS at nearly 6 years old and I was already pregnant with Chloe, who was then also diagnosed in the womb.
It is a degenerative disease with a shortened life expectancy, of which there is no cure. Over time they will loose skills and eventually their body and organs will shut down. (Average age is 12.4 years), which amazingly Ella has surpassed but we are now seeing the effects.
We tirelessly, with all your support, fundraise for their charity Amy & Friends who support us and families like us all over the World 🌎
Our next adventure is the biggest Zip wire in Wales, Alex and I are getting ready as we will be taking this on THIS SATURDAY!!!

💜🤫 EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT - QUIRKY QUIET HOUR IS COMING! 🤫💜
I was exhibiting at a different wedding fair a few weeks ago when I met a wonderful lady! She came up to me and told me that she had to keep running outside and back again in throughout the fair as it was all too overwhelming for her. What she said and how frazzled she looked stayed with me all day as I noticed just how loud, crowded and overwhelming the whole day was and I really really felt for her. I suffer from anxiety too and on my worst days, I wouldn't go near a large crowded event like this and I didn't want anyone feeling they couldn't go to a Quirky Wedding Fayre because of this. And that's when I had the lightbulb moment! 💡 I instantly got on the phone to Jodie, my right hand lady, to see what she thought of my idea! She gave me the seal of approval and so here we are today! Launching our newest initiative on the journey to a fully inclusive wedding fair - QUIRKY QUIET HOUR! 🎉🤘
💕 Yes, we pride ourselves on our wedding fayres being loud, fun and colourful with live music and performers! But for attendees who may be neurodivergent or suffer from anxiety, wedding fayres can be a pretty overwhelming place so we are bringing in our ‘Quirky Quiet Hour’ to all of our fayres from 2pm-3pm 💕
Quiet Hour is an individually ticketed timeslot where those who feel they need a quieter browsing experience can attend.
What to expect during Quirky Quiet Hour?
✨ No live or loud music
✨ Limited capacity so no crowds!
✨ No harsh, twinkling, flashing or neon lights
✨ No loud conversations
✨ Feel free to browse exhibitor stands without the immediate sales pitch
All our booked exhibitors have been briefed and the FREE QQH tickets are now available on all of our upcoming events! 🎉

It’s taken me a lot longer than it should have to get back to work after the holidays, turns out I had reached burnout. Something that can happen quite a lot and then all of a sudden I will spring back to life again, never realising why.
I’m also learning who I truly am. I’ve masked all my life never knowing why.
I’m forgetful and make silly mistakes, so I set alarms on my phone, write messages everywhere, use spell check and have to do lists.
I’m now forgetting words, conversations halfway through and was getting really frustrated as it seemed to be getting worse. Loosing my temper over the silliest of things.
I was starting to get worried thinking I was going crazy, that I was loosing my mind, the hundreds of thoughts swirling around in my head were getting out of control, I couldn’t focus on one anymore.
Thanks to the wonders of the people I choose to have around me and social media I realised I have ADHD and RSD. 🤯
Now everything in my life makes sense! A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and the shame, oh the shame I can try to let go of since I was a child.
So as someone who never makes New Years Resolutions as I always struggled to keep up with them and now I know why!
Here are mine:
👉🏼 to ask for help when I’m struggling
👉🏼 to not shame myself over an ADHD symptom
👉🏼 start putting my mental and physical needs first (I will learn how to say no!)
👉🏼 give up alcohol it does no good for dopamine production (what adhder’s lack)

Happy New Year 🥳
So with a new year comes a new fundraising challenge and this time I’ve got Alex joining me!
We are attempting Europe’s first 4 person Zip wire on March 2nd, which will see us soaring along the Llechwedd quarry and reaching over 50mph.
All proceeds go to Amy & Friends and we would absolutely love your support 🫶🏻

Alice & Graham’s All the Colours Wedding
Just love this video from Day and Knight Photography, brings back all the memories from Alice and Graham’s Special and Unique Day. Alice and Graham took out my consultation package at £200, as they knew what they wanted for the design of the day, but didn’t know where to start. So we sat down with mum and went through everything they needed to plan and budget their wedding day. They also had their stationery made by Ella Bella Events at £150 for day and evening invites and the RSVPs and £90 for their order of services. They also hired Ella Bella Events for on the day coordination at £500, overseeing suppliers and setting up at the Church and the reception venue.
