Sadly we have two guests who cannot make it this Friday so we have a couple of seats available which could stretch to four people. Menu will be more Indian in style on this occasion and our usual colourful, fresh fare 🌶
With the sun setting last night on our visits from Backroads for this year, we listened to Finn playing 'The Jed Ba Game' on the Lowland pipes, a tune whose origin lies just over the hill in the background.
A prelude of a short walk, with an introduction to our farm and the local area and then as a finale a meal in the Old Stable packed with our garden and local ingredients.
These visits have been something a little different for us this year, but we've really enjoyed hosting them, answering loads of questions and sharing our story.

The weather yesterday continued to challenge everyone and torrential downpours made things quite difficult! We are always grateful to our amazing team but especially thankful yesterday given the weather! Soaked through and sloshing about in a wee bit of flooding and still smiling. Thank you to both the kitchen and serving teams, working in very difficult conditions, without complaint and providing the same high level of help. Luckily, the happy couple and their guests saw the funny side of what was a very memorable day. No photos of the main BBQ - some delicious rolled shoulder of lamb and beef brisket supplied by @scottsofkelso and the always popular foccacia from @abbeybridgesourdough went down a treat! Plus the best carrot cake in town from @thejammycook

A lucky break in the weather meant a memorable afternoon in Northumberland National Park #cuddystonehall with some spectacular scenery for our first wedding to cater for 2024. The team all seemed quite relieved when they found us! Our happy couple Holly and Alex had asked for a BBQ with a hint of Sweden! And we love coming up with a bespoke menu - Barbequed Salmon and butterflied Scottish Leg of Lamb @scottsofkelso with Spring Tart, superb @thenakedsourdough dark rye and colourful, fresh salads. Thank you to our unflappable waiting team - Leanne, Iona, Suzie, Antonia and Gabrielle and of course the newly crowned Cheesecake Queen @thejammycook Delia! (A new accolade) You are all stars. We promise the next venue is very easy to find...😜 (although having said that, Cuddystone Hall is pretty amazing)
