A really fun day filming with Rosie, David and Fiona from Landward for an upcoming show on 20th November. SO lucky with the weather for the end of October🫶

Robert told the story of the farm and why we have , then Lucy prepared some gorgeous rump steak with stirfry veg from the garden (and some 🥦 from our neighbours !). There are some handy tips if you're looking for any, especially around cooking steaks!

We're looking forward to seeing how it all comes together, once the fluffs and 🤬 are taken out!🤣🤣

Working in field kitchens; details, lists, planning and packing mean that we try to have utensils to hand for all eventualities so when someone shouts 'have you seen the thingamajig, you know the what'sit for the, um...!?' The reply normally being 'yeah, it's under the table.....'

Canapés, nibbles, morsels, snacks, hors d'oeuvres - whatever you call them, aren't they great!!?🤤

Over the summer we've loved doing these at weddings, drinks parties and on farm travel trade events so we follow 3 simple rules:

1. Small enough to fit in the average mouth without wearing half of it!
2. Able to eat - while maintaining an air of sophistication - with one hand, while holding a drink and clutch purse in the other.
3. All produced on site maintaining our principles of fresh, local, tasty and plentiful.

So what's your favourite - a simple sausage, arancini balls, a salt & pepper prawn, a smashed pea, parma ham and sourdough crostini or something different?
We're always looking for fresh ideas, and with wedding planning on the go for 2026/27 it's good to have new ones to offer!

What a great night yesterday at the regional finals of the Thistle Awards!

We were nominated in the 'Best Eating Experience' category across the South of Scotland - and we only bloody went and won😁😬🤣😎🤣

The Judges were impressed with the values we maintain, the use of many many local producers, and our drive for seasonally inspired menus to produce a truly authentic experience.

What we offer wouldn't be possible without a fantastic group of folk who help us out at events and on farm. Many thanks to everyone - whether you've chopped, stirred, served, carried, washed, stacked, fried, poured or peeled it wouldn't be possible to deliver to the quality we aim for without you😍
