Our bins have gone missing!! I've asked for replacements, but they may take a couple of weeks. In the meantime, could users of the hall kindly take their rubbish away with them?

We LOVE that you are utilising the space and we hope you are enjoying it. We want to encourage more people to come, and we would really appreciate your help.

Please could you
1. Spread the word! Share our page and let people know what great facilities we have.
2. Either PM photos you are happy to share of your event, or tag Sprouston Hall (I'll be setting up an Instagram account asap as well).
3. Please please please remember to clean the kitchen, empty bins and sweep the floor before you leave each time.

Apologies to everyone for the delay in invoicing this month. I've been busy getting the hay in for my new treasures! I've got enough in now to see them through the winter, so some rain for the runner beans would be very lovely now :)

Unfortunately we have had to cancel the summer fete on Sunday 4th June.

However - we will be planning an extravaganza for next year with OODLES of notice and hopefully some lovely events during the year.

Sprouston Coronation Hall is VERY excited to announce the long overdue return of the Village Fete!!!

Please come and share in the fun and catch up with friends and neighbours on 4th June 11-2.

Bouncy castle, teas & coffees, hot dogs, car boot, stalls, chocolate tombola, bottle tombola and lots lots more!

To reserve a stall table or car boot spot, please PM the village hall page and we'll get you booked in. £10 per table/car boot plus a prize donation for the tombola please!!

All tombola contributions very welcome: please PM and we'll organise collection/drop off.

Please note that the pricing structure is changing from 01 April. Existing bookings will be honoured at the rate already quoted except where the new rate offers a saving. Regular prebooked users of Sprouston Village Hall will be given one extra month (April) at their current rates before switching to the new rate, as below:

Hourly rate: £15
Each full hour or part thereof (eg 1.5 hours will be charged as 2 hours)
Children’s party: £40
Half day hire of hall to allow for set up and clean
Evening Party: £85
Access from noon where possible until 10am next morning to allow for set up and clean
Wedding £250
All weekend from Friday eve until Sunday night

The new pricing structure provides a clearer, fairer framework and reflects rising prices, particularly in regard to energy costs.

CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME will once again be distributing funds to organisations or established groups in the TD5 postcode area. Application forms may be requested from the 1st March by emailing [email protected] - Paper forms will be available from the CBAH shop in Bridge Street or Browns Newsagent from this date 1st March. Forms must be submitted by Friday 1st April for consideration by the Trustees of CBAH.

Date for the diary!

The Small Hall Band will be rehearsing on Sunday 19 Feb at Sprouston Village Hall and welcome the public to sit in and enjoy for the last hour 4-5pm.

Pop by and you'll help bolster young musicians' confidence by being a friendly audience, and you get to listen to some great music too.

Kelso Community Larder is in the process of being setup.
The larder is purely to combat good food going to landfill.
☑️We have premises: 42 Bowmont Street (Within Kelso North Church).
☑️ We have volunteers - but we would love to hear from you if you would like to get involved.
☑️We have an opening date: Monday 27th February
The larder will be open to everyone - and is not means tested - it's available to everyone - remember this is purely to combat food waste.
Kelso Community Larder is currently managed by Kelso Community Council and is not part of Kelso Food Bank (which is a totally separate group) and there to help if you are struggling.
