On Thursday night I had the loveliest couple of hours with .flowers at one of her workshops. She is the wreath master (!) and hosted 5 of us for such a fab evening making autumn wreaths.

It was much needed space to get creative, chat and learn something new.

New fave... I'm very fickle... Her colours are just perfect... Just like an autumn sunset.

Going out in some orders this week and definitely on the grow more next year list.

New fave bringing a little glamour to proceedings. I think she's doing to look 👌 with the deep red scabious and the creme brulee phlox 🤞

A beautiful evening tonight. Nothing like some summer abundance to make you feel a little better. Isn't it amazing what a difference a bit of sunshine and fresh air can make.

This annual phlox is a fave and it's a true cut and come again - even better! ❤️

What a week!

I sold every stem one way or another 🥹 You have no idea how grateful I am to all of you that order and/or follow along. It really does blow me away sometimes! Getting to have a go at this is a real privilege, something that I love and not something I take for granted one bit.

A bucket of early summer for to arrange into jars and bottles for her wedding this weekend. The venue looked amazing and I hope they have partied hard!

Sophie provided a bucket to play with too and it was lovely to collaborate - they worked rather nicely together!

Stocks and snaps in abundance this week...All pretty in peach and pink. These have been a success and I would like to replicate again next year... Will I be so lucky?!

Ruler for my records... Stem length is important for my florists and while not the be all and end all I want to try and make sure I am consistent and be able to work out why something did well or didn't. I'm not so great at writing things down in the moment, but I do always have my phone in my back pocket so photos are my go to record keeper.

Why should you buy British flowers and what do they have that imported flowers might not?

Buying British, or even better, local flowers, means that you are supporting a local, usually small, business. You're thinking about where your flowers come from, and how many air miles they might have done to get to you.

You're getting a whole different selection than you would in the supermarket or many high street, chain florists. You're probably getting scent, texture and colour and maybe even a little hitchhiker or too because many British growers limit their use, or pledge not to use pesticides.

All sounds good to me!

They really are so pretty. These have been creeping out in orders - just watch their gorgeousness unfold as they open in the vase. 😍

Goodness me it's been a busy one 🥴
Lots of tulips going out this week. It's been so busy I've barely taken any photos as I've always been in a rush 🤣
This was earlier in the week about 6 one morning. I LOVE the green and pink parrot so much! Definitely on the grow again list!
