The Flower School offers courses for the absolute beginner through to those embarking on a career in floristry. We offer one day courses through to four week career courses and everything inbetween. We are unique in offering bespoke courses here in our studio in Bath.We are able to work on a one to one basis designing courses to suit each students needs. How about organizing a workshop for you and your friends, a hen party perhaps? We can do this for your too.

Something a little different for you to today - Jo from Wye Valley Flowers, a qualified florist for 30 years, decided to study our Online Career Change course to gain more confidence with sustainable techniques.

Jo says; 'I did the online course as part of re-qualification as an ‘eco florist’ after a C&G qualification (shockingly!!) 30 years ago. I launched a Flower farm in 2019, although I had been running florist workshops for 12 years alongside teaching sustainable development at University.
I wanted to put together a collection of qualifications that would upskill me into using sustainable floristry mechanics. Tallulah’s course was a great pathway into refreshing my skills, revalidating my qualifications and I knew Rachel was committed to using only British flowers and no floral foam.'

Wye Valley Flowers offers a full range of floristry and floral design services – from gift bouquets to weddings, funeral tributes to events. Jo's floral arrangements are romantic, cottage garden, vintage, and hedgerow inspired. Each one is unique and captures a snapshot of what is growing on the farm and in the meadow that season. No air miles or nasty chemicals – simply nurtured by the sun and rain, with love.

This week, I’ve carved out two days of creative thinking space. It’s my opportunity to gather up all the ideas I’ve had over the past few months, cherry-pick the best, and discard the rest. It’s a vital process to push my business toward the future.

Moving forward often means stepping out of your comfort zone, and an extra dose of confidence is required.

What an honour to meet such inspiring women yesterday. Thank you for sharing such personal stories, the highs and lows of life…

A love of nature and flowers brought everyone who joined my open day yesterday together. The common thread was passion to create change and a need for change. To make a change however big or small can be daunting, overwhelming even. Sitting and listening to everyone’s story yesterday filled me with such great admiration.

I’m proud to provide a space where everyone feels safe to share, to speak openly about their dreams. Speaking so honestly in front of strangers is often easier, it’s saying the words out loud that often lead to dreams becoming a reality.

Of course I hope to meet and teach everyone who joined me yesterday but if not that’s ok. The room was charged with emotion, with honesty and I’m really grateful to have played my part in what I hope will be the tipping point of change…

Chicken wire, reel wire and patience! Our team created the look of a rambling rose choosing an old stone wall as their base. Chicken wire rolled onto tubes and wired into the wall to give our ‘rambling rose’ something to hold onto!
