*They make excellent centrepieces too with a hurricane lamp inside 😉

We’re back today after a productive studio Saturday catching up with ourselves.

So, here’s the latest…..

Sunday is your last day to order Floralista wreaths, fresh or everlasting. Deliveries and collections available Friday 13th, Thursday 19th, Friday 20th, come see us & all the craftspeople at Yew Tree Barn or order on the webshop.

Get your Christmas foliage & flower orders in too, we’re doing deliveries this Thursday, Friday and next week too, with last drops on Monday 23rd but we need those preorders this week please.

Well we seemed to disappear under a flurry of foliage and when we popped back up again we’d said goodbye to November and welcomed in December! Not sure how it can only be the beginning of December when we’ve been up ladders with festive foliage for 27 days straight already?!!

Anyway, a wonderful way to see out the month putting .factory.tap wreath and arch up followed by a busy open studios and wreath workshops weekend. Thank you to everyone who booked on, really was wonderful to catch up with you all again and to Ronnie & Les for inviting us back every year. Very much looking forward to celebrating at our neighbours with a glass of bubbles once elf work is done and dusted.

We’re now non stop with private wreath orders, house decorations and winter market preparations before more workshops start again Thursday.

Total refresh for the fabulous Heather, Zoe & team in their gorgeous salon.

The pine and pampas backdrop replaced with a wall of frothy alpine baby’s breath & a creeping trail of paper daisies.

Both these flowers symbolise love and kindness which is perfect for how we’re feeling at the moment! To everyone who’s been commissioning us to bring festive floral magic to their beautiful business and homes, from the bottom of our foliage filled boots, thank you.😘

Gorgeous afternoon spent installing some pretty stunning, everlasting, architectural varieties for these guys up high and closer to ground level too. We’ll leave you to see the final results when you go visit.

Chelsea, Jack, Jess & the team have got their winter market this Sunday 24th where you’ll be able to buy all sorts of beautiful crafts. There’s music, food, coffee AND we’ll have our Floralista foliage wraps in their retail section too. Plus, they’ll be taking preorders for our Floralista luxury wreaths for collection December 1st. That’s when we head back to to host our lush winter wonderland wreath making workshop for those of you who want to make your own.

Busy weekend coming for everyone in Kendal with taking place. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone out on their own mini adventure’s whilst catching up with friends & family over warming food & drinks and no doubt a few feel good films & talks too!

It’s definitely a year where colour and joy are called for in bucketfuls and have embraced it with gusto for this winters Floralista festive additions.

We’re taking final dried, fresh and mixed wreath orders this week so still time to get your Floralista winter wreath to brighten up doors and walls and bring joy to all this festive season.

The first two weeks of December see us at winter markets as well as hosting workshops here there and everywhere. So, we will struggle to do any last minute/walk in wreaths….. and you know how we hate to disappoint anyone so please do preorder preorder preorder if you can!! Do it via our webshop, choose your colour way from winter greens and red berry Victoriana, narniaeasque icy whites, Nordic firs or go wild and choose all the brights, then leave the rest to us.

Heads down and Lancaster news……

We’ve got our heads down at the moment buried in a lot of festive preparations, winter market making & all things installation designing plus a wedding so we may go quiet here but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a good old browse of floralista treats over on the website.

The Christmas shop and Festvie Workshops are all live on our website. We can’t stress enough how helpful preordering any wreaths or foliage requirements would be too this year!! 😉

Plus, New This Year…… we’re coming to Lancaster!!!
Join us for a wreath making workshop on the 11th December .lcr we’ll be bringing all our magic, you don’t need to bring a thing, just yourselves and a nail waiting at home to hang your fabulous creations on afterwards!

If you’d rather have one of our luxurious handmade by us just for you Floralista Festive wreaths, and struggle to get up to our studio, you can pick up your preordered wreath from Tuck that afternoon too!

They’ll be available to collect from .lcr from 4pm to 6pm. Preorder yours and just put tuck collect, don’t fill in the delivery address or you’ll be charged delivery!

In fact for all workshops and collections don’t fill the delivery address in, just use the notes for times etc.

*and yes our wreaths will travel well if you’re heading homewards this Christmas, you might just need to book an extra train seat 😉 in all seriousness a little parcel paper will do the job in protecting them or a giant hat box for the journey. But we’ve seen them arrive safely in their new homes in London, Newcastle & Edinburgh. They’re a great conversation starter we’ve been told 😂

Ankle deep//

Actually knee and elbow deep would be a more appropriate description of the current Floralista mode. It’s that time of year when our hands start to harden, the floor disappears and the childhood memories flashback thanks to olfactory overload. Today, it was Ash’s memories of climbing to***co barn beams by day, ci**rs & mountain fires by night. It was a wild childhood 😂

Gentle shifts may be afoot but the passage of time marches on.
October is always a month of transition for us. As we pause from wedding season to savour the change in light and foliage colours, we also reenergise & ramp up productivity levels to frantic squirrel warp factor mode.
January will be our time to rest, hibernate and reflect but for now it’s all about harvesting, designing, making and installing, as we embark on what’s looking to be our busiest and best pre hibernation journey yet. Thank you everyone for your incredible projects and invitations.

The Private & Commercial Installation diary is pretty much full now so if you’ve not booked in for your installations do get in touch sooner rather than later as we hate saying no, but we do only have 2 pairs of hands, albeit both skillfully adept, one of those pairs is very tiny 😂

Love dried flowers but want more pizazz less pot pourri?

Join us in our magical studio for an hour of simple pleasures.

We’ll show you how to create an everlasting dried flower posy and then it’s your turn. It’s fast but mindfully meditative, it’s fun with no rules, it’s a dexterous challenge but anyone can do it.

Go maximalist and revel in all the exuberant colours and textures the studio has to offer or strip back and go minimalist architectural, it doesn’t matter. It’s an hour for you!

Hello Autumn// Installations & speedy autumn workshop news

As Mother Nature enters her final hurrah before bedding down for the winter, we’re following suit!

Lots of updates to come but for now here’s a beautiful project we’ve been privileged to be a part of. This installation now hangs in the recently opened Kendal People’s Cafe and Food Larder at The Eddington. It’s run by the incredible team and volunteers of

This place (behind the United reformed Church off Highgate, look out for mural arch) is doing such great things and everyone should find a way to support it.

Whether you go make use of it yourselves or tell someone who may find it helpful, it doesn’t matter. What does matter is the incredible feeling you get seeing people doing something positive to fight food waste and hunger and the knowledge you can be a part of it too by donating or enjoying.

Using food donated by local retailers and the charity who redistribute quality surplus food that would otherwise go to landfill they’ve created a food larder and a cafe. It’s a buzz of chatter and a real community space.

The food larder is Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday 12-1.30 and cafe Saturday too.

Although it’s very much a pay as you can cafe, every donation helps hugely. So, although there’s a suggested donation for everything, if you are able to pay more, it really, really helps those who aren’t able to donate.

Whilst we’re talking everlasting designs why not pop down to our studio next Friday 11th October for an hour and surround yourself with all things autumn whilst learning how to create a dried posy design. It’s fun, lasts an hour and you go home with a stunning autumn creation to give or keep.
