🌿Bontanical Cyanotype Toning Workshop with 🌿

This workshop is designed to introduce you to the basic principles of cyanotype toning using natural botanicals, environmentally kind and sustainable, this technique uses the tannins found in plants to create beautiful toned prints.

The workshop will begin with the creation of some simple cyanotypes followed by teaching you to how to bleach your cyanotypes, create toners and apply them effectively to your prints. All the materials are provided for you! If you have been on previous workshops and would like to bring some ready made cyanotypes to tone then you are more than welcome.

Otherwise just bring yourself and your enthusiasm!

It’s Dahlia time 🌸

They have taken a while to get going (I blame the lack of rain) but they are starting to flower nicely.

Always first is the ever reliable White Aster and Preference which I will be using this week and next week for weddings 💒

Let’s have fingers crossed for a later frost than last year to enjoy them a little more this year.

Her 🥂 The diva of all dahlias – Miss Café au Lait.

A last-minute request for a small wedding bouquet for someone I know. Luckily, I had just one bloom ready and waiting – this beauty pops up every year unannounced, so I always let her stay. With a champagne wedding dress to match, it was the perfect excuse to play with soft peachy, neutral tones, finished off with a trailing ribbon.

Ever lasting blooms 🌸

Lots of flowers are being hung to dry today from strawflowers to statice to amaranth and all the textured seed heads.

It’s time consuming and a slightly long process but one I enjoy.
