Making wreaths in the sunshine yesterday. Playing with lots of colours and textures this year, I’m yet to choose a ribbon thinking about going just natural for a few this year. Any thoughts on ribbons? A must have or can do without?

I had such a lovely time teaching this wonderful group of friends yesterday. They were celebrating a special birthday together and started the day off making bouquets in a bubble of water. They were all very talented and were an absolute pleasure to teach.

I’m so impressed with how this preserved bridesmaid bouquet turned out. People ask me all the time if they can preserve their bouquets in remembrance of their special day and I always say ‘use a professional to get the best results’ and this is the outcome. I’m pretty sure we made this about 2 years ago.

I found so much inspiration walking through the fields with my dog (Pepe) this week. There are so many vivid colours, seed heads and grasses even the autumn light seems warm and glowing (when it’s not raining). I used to fight the seasons and dread the coming of winter and the cold and darkness. Now I’m trying to embrace the seasons and look for the positivity in every day.

It’s coming to the end of summer but I have to say it’s my favourite time of year for our home grown flowers.

I haven’t posted for a while, mainly because it’s been full on with the kids over summer and then we went away to the algarve, which I have to say was beautiful. The house build has come to a stop over summer which has been really frustrating but hopefully we’ll be in soon. I’ll post some updates soon.

Have you ever been to Swallows Nest Barn near Warwick? It’s the most beautiful venue. There are so many ways to decorate this gorgeous entrance. This was from Saturday’s wedding, the bride was going for a natural Mediterranean vibe. We so enjoyed creating this. 🥰

Windows!! We finally have windows. I know it still looks like a foil wrapped box but windows in and a tiled roof mean that we can get the scaffolding down and brick up the front.
I never thought building our own house would be so hard, two and a half years in a static and the cost of materials soaring from when we first bought it 4 years ago. I’m praying we get in this summer 🙏🏻🤞.
