"The team at The Ferry House were amazing from the start, they responded quickly to any questions and were always willing to help. We used all accommodation including the cottages for 2 nights and our guests said it was an amazing stay & lovely to be all together. Everything ran like clockwork and we honestly can't thank the team at The Ferry House enough. The venue is stunning and our day was everything we could have dreamed of, there isn't a single thing for would change. I just wish we could do it all again! ✨What's your favourite thing about The Ferry House?
Easy…..the team. A kind hearted family vibe across the board from the Weddings team through to the kitchen staff, front of house team, gardeners and everyone else.

✨What's your favourite photo spot at the venue?
Something that is truly amazing about the Ferry House is the huge variety of photo spots, its difficult to pick one. The orchard is wonderful when the grass is long and the trees are full, the flower arch is always a winner when in bloom (definitely satisfies my need for symmetry in my imagery), it is easy to say a walk down to the estuary is the best spot for images so I have to mention it. The inside is as amazing as the outside so must be mentioned!

✨What's your all time favourite image you've captured at The Ferry House?
A moment from June 2023 when Joe married Jess. The procession music started and Joe turned to see his daughter coming down the aisle towards him, he quickly turned back round to his brother/best man standing next to him with an expression on his face that spoke a thousand words. It was true emotion, a look of true love in a true moment and showed true vulnerability…..Joes brother put his hand on his shoulder for assurance and the word true was tattooed on his hand. Pictures like this, that tell stories like that, are what make me smile.

✨What one tip would you give to couples who've booked The Ferry House for their wedding?
Take the advice of the weddings team, they are awesome, they know what they’re doing, and your day is in very safe hands.

"The venue is absolutely stunning and the staff couldn't be more helpful! The food is amazing, the accommodation really lovely and everything is so well thought out.
If you like an organised event then The Ferry House is for you. Everything had been thought of, from the decor drop being arranged a week before the wedding, to the Powder Room to get ready in and making sure we had our wedding coordinators phone number on the day. The whole day ran smoothly and all the staff were attentive whilst giving us and all our guests privacy. We had a small intimate wedding and it was the ideal venue for it. Most of our guests stayed over and we all had breakfast the next morning together, which was a lovely way to end the wedding. We are both still buzzing from the wedding and a large part of that is down to the Ferry House team." Laura & Thomas , November 2023.

Is 2026 the year you want to say 'I do' at The Ferry House? If so, it will be a new chapter for us too, as we complete the renovation of a beautiful, new wedding barn 🤩

If you've fallen in love with The Ferry House, you're not alone. We've loved the venue since it came into our ownership in 2000. Over recent years we have made numerous enhancements - the gardens, the Oak Gazebo, the Coach House and the Garden Lodge to name just a few - all to make it the best place for you to have the best day of your life.

✨THE NEXT CHAPTER IS TO REPLACE OUR CURRENT EVENT SUITE WITH A STUNNING NEW BARN!✨

No matter the changes, we will always guarantee stunning waterside tranquility with the Harty wilderness as the backdrop to your day, the refined and rustic ambience of a relaxed celebration and the care and dedication of our team.

We will be open for weddings until 30th September 2025. After this our diary will be closed for weddings from 1st October 2025-12th April 2026 as we undertake the renovations.
