Zinnias one of the Workhorses at this time of year. dahlia and zinnias are keeping my spirits lifted in what appears to be Autumn all of a sudden.
floral line arrangement, not usually my style but I’m challenging myself to try some formal arrangement that are usually done in foam to see what I can achieve. I’m fairly pleased with how this turned out. My favourite roses, that are proving to tick all the boxes, they even dry well (unusual for a white flower) and have a scent.
I had a lovely afternoon out to yesterday and met these beauties. Has anyone seen these seeds on sale anywhere?
It’s not all about the flowers. I’m loving grasses at the moment. I’ve got several varieties. They make a light airy filler at this time of year. Lovely stem lengths as well.
If you fancy some pretty grasses for your floral creation please get in touch.
I have another glut of flowers from the farm so will be loading the honesty box up again. Pop along today or over the weekend and grab some beautiful fresh, locally grown, chemical free seasonal flowers.
Super low prices again, starting from just £5.00. They will be available from today and over the weekend. If you want something special made up or are a who is after some , flowers for a project please do get in touch.

has so many positive aspects but it can be a little lonely at times so it was lovely to meet up yesterday with a local farmer.
Thank you Sally
Some of this morning’s pickings. I just can’t pick quickly enough. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some rain, sorry all you lovers.
I’m not sure if this is going to work. It’s a little montage of photos and videos that my phone has put together. It looks great on my phone but I’m not sure what it will look like on Facebook. 🤞
Thought I’d share some images from today’s little get together. It maybe it phases due to Facebook restrictions.
It’s been an extremely busy week preparing for a little fundraiser this weekend. Thankfully I found time to pick these little beauties
I’m loving Polo from . They were bare root at the beginning of the season and have been producing blooms for around 2 months already. They are an excellent rose with nice strong long stems and fragrance!
They’re back on the Honesty Box for this weekend as part of ’Parkhouse Special Offer Weekend’ . Look at those stunning - Summer Flame.

I had a lovely day yesterday in Smarden Community preparing for the so many talented people creating beautiful arrangements. This years theme is the Olympics. The church looks stunning, with a French feel 🇫🇷.
Everyone is welcome. The village festival is also running this weekend, so lots to do and see.
Flowers for the weekend, available on the honesty box ME17 2AU.
It’s Poppy season at last. I love these beauties but they don’t last that long. The great news is that they have a beautiful large seed head that look lovely in the boarders and bouquets. They are also great in dried flower creations.
I love the way the late sun caught this little beauty. Shame about the turn in the weather today.
I’ve used some lovely fresh mint in these ‘thank you’ flowers
The lovely Coco with her morning pickings. .Y.O ✈️ The season has only just started, the fantastic Dahlias are yet to come. It’s not too late to book your slot via my website www.parkhousepetals.co.uk

Just some of this morning’s picks. I have put some bunches on my #honestybox if you fancy grabbing some. Orders being taken 07825600116. I’m open for P.Y.O this Saturday #britishflowerweek. #countryliving #kentflorists @kentflorists #wholesaleflowers #graftygreen
I’m enjoying the last of the sun for this weekend. What a super busy weekend. The #flowergrowing season is really starting to take hold. We are gearing up for summer Pick your own days. The first one is at the end of May. Book your spot via my website. I have lots of beautiful #Delphinium stems, if there are any #Florists out there that need them.
Although I have lots of #Tulips coming available, I also have some beautiful and fragrant daffodils. These are a little later to bloom than the traditional yellow ones and are a more subtle colour with lots of frills. If you fancy a bunch for the weekend I am about on Thursday. You can call or text me 07825600116. Thank you all for your support so far this season. Collection from ME17 2AU, grafty green
Some of you may remember #ParkhouseTed a recent member to the team who's main role is to protect the #Tulips for this year's #PYO days. Poor #ParkhouseTed has been out in all this rain and has managed to fill his wellies. Do you think #ParkhouseTed may have a H&S calim? #healthandsafety #wellies #rain #flowerfarming #pickyourownflowers @flowersfromthefarm Grafty Green Headcorn Village, Kent Tenterden, Kent - The Jewel of the Weald
Despite the very wet weather there is still always lots to do, luckily potting Dahlia can be an indoor job. I use recycled pots but it is so important to make sure they are nice and clean. As I am potting on several varieties I have been good and created labels. This is something I often neglect to do, kidding myself I will remember what I have planted/potted on. Sadly I rarely do. I have started them under cover so they are ready for my propagating workshop in March. I'll post some images of the varieties separately. #flowerfarming #dahlias #growyourown #2024growingseason www.parkhousepetals.co.uk
A big thank you to CPA Horticulture for the delivery this weekend. I have chosen 60Lrt bags rather than Jumbo bags, although they work out a little more expensive they are easier to move around. I have already used 3 this weekend. #flowerfarmers #PYO #compost #growyourown
Thanks to the @NexdoorApp I managed to pick up another heated propagator this weekend. It is small but perfectly formed. Having heated mats and propagators means I can move the seedlings into the Greenhouse, keeping the house clear of pots and compost. So as day light extends and the growing season really start to kick off, but there is still a risk of frost, these become invaluable. They produce a low level of heat and use very little electricity but they provide lots of space for lovely seedlings. #2024growingseason #flowerfarming #seedlings #growyourown @flowersfromthefarm

Sadly there were no #Valentine surprises for #ParkhouseTed. Ted is out there amongst the Tulips beds, working hard to protect them helping ensure there will be lots on offer for P.Y.O days in #spring2024. Let me introduced you to a new member of the team at ParkhousePetals. Please give a warm welcome to Ted who has been employed to help keep birds, squirrels and mice way from my plants. Ted has his waterproof jacket on so hopefully he will be able to cope for the rest of the winter. I hope his wellies don't fill up with water. I wonder if he will need an umbrella? Ted does look rather sinister, I feel a requirement for the role. He helps to achieve this with his axe propped up against the wall behind him. I would like to assure you that these tools are not company issue. #flowerfarming #plantprotection #TED #birdscaring @flowersfromthefarm @lisagraham8162 I think you may have met him before :-)
