I worked out the other day ive been a singer on and off for 15 years and believe it or not never had the courage to sing at open mic night 🙈
As ive got older the imposter syndrome of “am i any good? Or am just a fraud seems to get worst ! 😅 At a family meal last week and pressure from my two daughters to get up and sing with the guitar man i finally sang at an open mic night !

I’m Going to be honest I honestly thought I was done and the mic had been hung up for good . Not sure what it was that made me want to hang up the mic ? Life was 100mph my other business went from strengths to strength and so my singing got forgotten about ! I’d do a gig and find I had ZERO confidence and be willing it to be over 🙈
I have been trying to get the bug back and am on the lookout for a singing teacher as my voice is abit ropey and abit out of date atm 🥴 so i went back to when I was 15 today and sang a song I used to sing on repeat !! Playing the cd that came out the back of a yellow audition book if you know you know … I used to take that book everywhere 😂👍🏻 hoping by dropping this on the public grid that it will give me the kick up the arse to get myself sorted and get the bug back that when I re record this in say 6 months time the vocals will be back on top form and I’ll have found the Jess Nelson confidence again 💁🏻♀️🤞🏻
