Happy New Year! Our first film of 2025 is based on the real-life Littlehampton libels case, and stars Olivia Colman, Jessie Buckley, Timothy Spall, Anjana Vasan, and Malachi Kirby.

When people in Littlehampton, including conservative local Edith (Olivia Colman), begin receiving letters full of hilarious profanities, the rowdy, Irish migrant Rose (Jessie Buckley), is charged with the crime. Suspecting that something is amiss, the townโ€™s women set out to investigate.

Join us for what will be a laughter-filled night! Wednesday 22 January, 19:30, doors 19:00.

๐—ช๐—”๐—ฅ๐—ก๐—œ๐—ก๐—š! This film does contain some ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜บ strong language (and that's how the BBFC themselves put it!). It's all in context, and often for laughs, but the word-count is high.

Posters will be going up around the village soon, and tickets will be available in the coming days - we'll post again when they are!

Thank you so much to everybody who came along to our screening of Elf last night. There was plenty of laughter and a very well-received, unexpected, and warm round of applause at the end! We really enjoyed getting into the Christmas spirit with you all. Here's to more great films in 2025!

17/12/2024

Just a reminder that our showing of Elf starts at a slightly earlier than usual time of 18:30 this evening, doors 18:00!

Last few hours to get your tickets in advance for tonight's screening of ๐™€๐™ก๐™›. As long as we don't sell out you'll be able to pay on the door, too. Why not have a walk to see some of the excellent advent windows in the village on the way?

10/12/2024

Just one week to go until our screening of Elf (Tue 17 Dec, 18:30, doors open 18:00)! Tickets are available from The Village Shop, or on the night if we don't sell out beforehand.

Did you know?

Thereโ€™s a small team of volunteers that run Film Club with the support of the Village Hall Committee. They work hard behind-the-scenes to hold the screenings and bring cinema to the village for the community.

What you may not know is that thereโ€™s a significant cost to obtain a licence to show a film in this public setting, and so your support really is appreciated. Without people coming to the showings Film Club just couldn't happen as each ticket purchase helps fund subsequent screenings and will shape what we hope will become a varied and enjoyable programme of films.

And to show our gratitude for your support...

We're delighted to tell you that we're launching our loyalty card! You'll be able to pick one up (and receive your first stamp!) at our screening of Elf, and all films afterwards.

For each ticket you buy you'll receive a stamp on redemption of that ticket at the showing*. Once you've collected five stamps you can exchange your card for a free ticket to a future screening. The only time you can't collect a stamp is if you're redeeming a free ticket you got from a full card.

*Don't worry if you couldn't make it to a showing. As long as you keep your ticket and show it to us next time you come to see a film we'll stamp your card.

A huge thank you to everyone that came along to our screening of 1917. The per-ticket donation we made was generously topped up by attendees and so Film Club raised a fantastic ยฃ100 for the Royal British Legionโ€™s Poppy Appeal.

1917 isn't a standard war film, and in many ways could be considered quite the opposite. There's much more depth to it than you may imagine, so do come along for what is at times a beautiful watch. Tickets available now for the screening on Sunday.
