Thanks to everyone that came to TFMC over the last few months. We all had a great experience! That’s us stopped now for the summer holidays. Hopefully back early Sept. Will keep everyone updated. Keep on rockin & have a great summer 🙂

The older kids where composing their own Song this week, and then performed it in the newly formed ‘TFMC Band’! While the younger rockstars where getting more rhythms down and exploring different percussion instruments. See you all again this Monday for our final session in this block 👍🙂🎸🥁🎤🎼🎹

Good fun again at club last Monday evening 🙂

The club is OFF this Monday 31st May 2021, following the school holiday.

We will be back on Monday 7th June, for the final 3 sessions before the school summer break. Will resume again in August 2021.

So our final 3 classes for this block are, 7th, 14th & 21st June.

Short video clip of last Monday’s session. Here we are trying to teach the fundamentals of rhythm, 4 Beats in a Bar. This time signature is in the majority of popular songs. 1234, 1234 repeat. Easy and fun. All the kids seemed to pick this up really quickly! See you all again tonight 👍 🥁

Another fabulous session on Monday evening. This week we gave the kids some group lessons on piano and guitar, by our very talented Music Leaders Connor & Steve. We also played some new games, done the popular mini disco with song requests, as well as making time for kids to experiment with instruments in their own way. STILL ON TONIGHT!

A few folk have been asking is The Fun Music Club on tonight, because of the bank holiday. YES, it’s still on tonight. Pouring of rain outside, but we will be nice and cosy inside, experimenting with sounds and music. Will bring our new PA system also tonight. Kids will get a chance to see how a ‘Mixer’ works as they develop their knowledge. This particular one sounds fabulous. Nice and clear with Reverb and Delay effects built in. See you all soon 🙂🎸🎹🎼

So here is our new mysterious instrument. Logan does a fabulous job of demonstrating it for us..

What a fabulous evening we all had at our Christmas Music Session and DISCO.. Certainly fair to say everyone had loads of Musical FUN!!!

Thank you to everyone who has came along, brought their kids, and helped make The Fun Music Club so enjoyable in its first month!

We plan to restart on Monday 18th January 2021. We can’t wait to see you all again, and continue exploring the wonder of music.

Guess what just arrived in the post. A vintage Xylohone, about 60 Years old, Made in Japan. Wonder what sort of wood this is made from? Needs a little TLC. A project for the TFMC..

Another fabulous session at The Fun Music Club on Monday evening..

One more to go before Christmas. So next Monday we are going to include a Christmas Disco as part of both sessions.. We have new Disco lights, and there awesome.. So bring your Christmas jumpers, and flashing raindeer antlers.. Any song requests let us know before Monday..

After Christmas and the New Year, we will be starting back up again on Monday 11th January 2021.. There is repair work getting carried out on main hall floor for a week or two start of January, so we will be using St Columba Church Smaller hall during this time. Using other door entrance, accessed from Community Carpark or Duchal Road. More info to follow.

Looking forward to next Monday. Instruments will still be out, with the bonus Christmas Disco 🙂 🚥 🎸🎤 🎹 🚥

We are bringing a MicroKorg Synthesizer keyboard tonight, with a BoomBox. Kids should enjoy having a shot on this! Here is a short demo of some of this things you can do with it.

There are lots of different ways to create music. This is touching on electronic based music. Sometimes you don’t even need to know to play an instrument to make music. Just need to learn how equipment works.

Some new instruments have landed!

Kids electric drum kit. Just tested. Sounds amazing! Has Mesh pads giving a more natural drum feel.

Smallest and cutest electric guitar ever, surely. Half size.. Perfect for P1s and up.. Plays really well now it’s been set up..

A Round Cajon Drum. This one looks so cool! That’s not the only reason we got it though. It sounds fabulous, with a more deep bass sound than a traditional Cajon when you hit it in the middle..
