Bringing Healthy Eating to Ayrshire

PH Prep was created by our founder, Paul Hope, in early 2017 and was driven by a desire to taking the hassle out of healthy eating; by providing prepared, ready-to-eat meals at great prices.

Paul’s ambitions were always to have his own gym & complimentary healthy meal prep business. With both professional objectives now achieved, Paul continues to be driven to improve the quality of the products & services he provides to his customers.

At PH Prep, our goal is to grow the business steadily, maintaining our friendly, personal service that our existing customers love while on-boarding new customers. Underpinning this strategy is a promise to continue to deliver the high quality, healthy meals that we have been serving since PH Prep opened its doors.

A family-run business based in Ayrshire!

At 18 years of age, Paul got into personal training while being an amateur boxer ... so he had always someone who recognised the importance of healthy eating & exercise. As his Personal Training business grew, Paul spotted a gap in the meal preparation market, so started PH Prep along with his mother, Lorna, and younger sister, Claire. Today, Lorna has overall responsibility for the meal preparation, while Claire still helps in her spare time making local deliveries. Even Paul’s gran has provided a helping hand along the way, thus making PH Prep a true Ayrshire family-run business.

The business so far ...

Since opening its doors, PH Prep has grown primarily through Paul’s Personal Training clients and members of his own gym, Evolution Fitness & Leisure, Townholm, Kilmarnock. Word of mouth has also helped as recommendations & referrals from locals continues to help the business grow at a steady rate. As of December 2018, PH Prep are preparing circa 850 meals every week for those who recognised the importance of a healthy, balanced diet.

An interesting fact:

PH Prep provided prepared meal packages to Tom Stoltman, a 24-year old athlete, who is competed at the World's Strongest Man competition - proof of the esteem with which PH Prep meals are held!
