"Joe and I recently had our wedding at Oxnead Hall, and I can't put into words how incredible the entire experience was. From the moment we started planning to the day itself, everything was flawless. The planning process was made completely stress-free, thanks to the incredible Ria our wedding planner. She went above and beyond to make everything so easy and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for her—she truly made us feel like our wedding was her top priority.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning, meticulously maintained and it was clear that every detail was managed with precision. The day ran like a military operation, but in the best possible way. Everything flowed seamlessly, and it felt effortless on our end, even though we knew a lot was happening behind the scenes. The staff were extraordinary— so many guests commented on how amazing and attentive they were. They were always one step ahead, ensuring that everything was perfect without us even noticing.

The food was insane—every dish was a masterpiece, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it. The atmosphere was magical, and the vibes throughout the day were immaculate. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing."

"We fell in love with Pentney abbey back in 2022 when we secured our date for November 2024. We visited the venue a fair few times on the opening days and fell in love with it all even more - we knew this is where we wanted to get married.
6 months before the wedding, you’re assigned a wedding planner & I truly believe we hit the jackpot with ours. Katherine Twiggs, you are amazing. I genuinely would’ve been lost with you. Your calmness, support, reassurance, kind & genuine ways weren’t unnoticed and were very much appreciated throughout the build up to our wedding and on the day itself. Kath, you went above and beyond to make sure every single wish of ours was fulfilled, your attention to detail & care was appreciated more than you’ll know. The whole UNV team were amazing from start to finish. The day was absolutely faultless. Any stress or worries which either of us had were taken away by the team and we were made to feel so very special. The food was delicious, we received so many compliments. And the thought behind the staff of not interrupting us on the dance floor with the evening food but putting it in the honeymoon suite for us to enjoy later, along with some cake & bubbles was grateful appreciated. All of the guests commented on what a beautiful venue Pentney Abbey is, how seamless everything was made to be, how accommodating the staff were & how much they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank Kath enough, I feel I’ve gained a friend in her, thank you thank you thank you. For giving us the most perfect day of our lives that we truly will treasure forever… can we do it all again please?!"

When you book your wedding at any of our seven venues, you'll receive a brochure full of detailed information about suppliers that work at our venues. For so many couples, planning your UNV wedding starts with this brochure, so it's worth keeping in mind that it's a guide based solely on merit, and never paid for. These are simply a bunch of friendly suppliers that we can trust to do a great job for our couples, time & again.
