Appsolutely love this technology.Nearly as good as actually visiting our shop but without some eccentric guy who won’t stop talking to you.

Last week, I posted a 360º panorama from Hepworth's arcade in the old town. On Saturday, I stopped by Dinsdales Famous Joke ,Trick & Fancydress Shop. to take an internal 360º.

Wow,love it.

Hull from inside Hepworth Arcade. The shop window of Dinsdales, where many an hour has been spent looking at the window display.
This was captured in 2016, so a revisit is in order.

Had a message the morning of our trip to Selfridges from a old magician customer Andrew.Do you fancy meeting up and I will take you to hopefully see Martin at International Magic Studios.I remember coming here with my Uncle George in 1979 who was mates with Ron MacMillan .Looks exactly the same.Ron would visit our shop in Hull and they always just swopped stock.He would bring lots of magic and we would fill his car with jokes.Happy days.

Last week’s visit to the opening of The Joke Shop at was a surreal experience. To see the influences that Dinsdales has had on Selfridges to create The Joke Shop was fabulous. As well as the pop-up shop the majority of Selfridge’s window displays have been taken over by everything joke related. It was wonderful to see such an iconic store pay tribute to small independent businesses such as ours. The icing on the cake was seeing our name printed on one of the windows. An experience we won’t forget. Thanks again

Last year we received a call from Selfridges saying they had caught a glimpse of Dinsdales during a BBC interview. They asked if they could come visit. A team came up from their Oxford St store to look at the shop. It was a great day, they loved our famous window display and we discussed the quarks and magic of a traditional joke shop. Recently Selfridge’s have been back in contact inviting us to their VIP launch of their joke shop event. We can’t wait to see what influences and inspiration came from our little joke shop in good old Hull. Watch this space…
