UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT (sort of...)

We're very pleased to announce that after running The Back Room for close to 20 years, Paul is retiring (mostly, we can't keep him away from the venue for long)!!

Paul's son, Robbie, will be taking on the family business from January 2025 with plans in place to further develop The Back Room offer.

Looking forward to a great night of comedy at The Back Room, Cottingham this Thursday, 12th December. Plus we've got Dough Punks serving their gourmet pizzas from 6:30pm, comedy starts at 8pm.
We're delighted to finally welcome as our headliner an act we've been looking to book for quite some to CCC, Alex Boardman. One of the most sought-after acts in the country due to his ability to interact with any audience and to seemingly conjure something out of nothing, Alex's free-flowing style and natural charm breeze through in performances. His unique brand of “Flattery and abuse” is done with a lack of malice and a big sense of fun.

Headlining the show we have the one of funniest men and best beards in the business Martin Mor, musical comedy from the man, myth and moustache Alex Camp along side great local comedy Elise Lawrance.

Hosting the show will be both 1st and 2nd best compere of cottingham comedy club Rich Austin and Jed Salisbury.
