We’re cheering up January with some brilliant events at Kirkby Stephen Sports & Social Club … first up we have our Remote Cinema with Cine North on Fri 17 Jan, screening the brilliant film The Holdovers. Then we’re welcoming Rube & Rake, a fantastic duo from Newfoundland, Canada on Fri 24 Jan, thanks to Highlights Rural Touring Scheme.

At Storytime on Monday we’re celebrating Autumn!

Details: 9:30-11 Monday (term time) Kirkby Stephen Sports & Social Club - come round the back and up the ramp. Babies to pre-schoolers welcome. £2 per family. Snacks are free of charge and there’s a cuppa and biscuit for the grown ups too.

Brightening up the high street this afternoon with flags made by the community … part of the Drawing Hope project by the brilliant artist Ursula Hurst.

Thank you to all the children at Kirkby Stephen, Brough and Warcop primary, Kirkby Stephen Scout Group, Kirkby Stephen Youth Centre, Upper Eden Day Care and everyone else who joined drop in workshops to help us create these wonderful flags.
