A good read… To the woman who wants to fix everything for everyone.

I know you’ve had enough.
I know you’re exhausted.
I know you’re overwhelmed.

You’re trying to do it all. Trying to take care of everything for everyone. Let me tell you something. It’s not your responsibility to take care of everyone, while all the time, not taking care of yourself.

It’s unachievable to be everything to everyone all of the time.

I know you want nothing more than to make everything right for the people you love and care about. But the truth is - You just can’t!

That doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It simply means you’re human.

Sometimes you need to step back. People are going to feel heavy things, people are going to go through different things. While you can be there to support, encourage, and give advice. There are things you have no control over. You need to stop running yourself to the ground by thinking you do. Life always has a funny way of working itself out.

Learn to be ok with not thinking you have to make things better all the time, as much as your heart wants you to. You will end up losing yourself in the process. Do what you can, when you can. Be kind, be a good listener. Be the light in a sometimes dark world. You’re not doing yourself any favours by giving it your all. You have to learn to trust the process. We all have our hard times. It’s a part of life. But if you lose yourself how can you help? How can you be their support?

You can’t keep breaking off parts of yourself to make other people whole.
