I loved making this meadow arrangement for Jessica & Bobby at Carlowrie Castle recently ~ they were so relaxed and let me be creative with their flowers.
This is such a versatile arrangement 🤍 I popped back after the ceremony and moved it to the reception celebrations. It’s very handy living right next to my fave venues! I’ll show you how it looked tomorrow.

Love love LOVE this set up at Carlowrie Castle! I made a meadow arrangement for the ceremony and moved the flowers to the ends of the tables for the wedding breakfast. Such a lovely one to work on 🤍

I love to add lots of detail to my designs ~ the tonal jewel colours and mix of textural foliage and berries made this bouquet sing 💓 If you look closely you’ll see some dried limonium in there too!

Following on from yesterday’s post about getting the most out of your flowers ~ here is what I did for R & I in November.
The reception tables couldn’t be set as the room was being flipped so I used the bud vases to add a bit extra to the ceremony backdrop. What do you think? A nice surprise for the couple when they walked down the aisle 💓
Rachel collected all of her own bud vases in shades of pink and purple ~ such a gorgeous touch and great for gifting afterwards too!

I always recommend using your flowers more than once on your wedding day if you can. As well as adding a little bit extra to the ceremony backdrop, these bud vases were used on the reception tables afterwards too.
If you have an event space like this library, where you can’t have naked flames, you can LED pillar candles like I have here ~ they are made with wax and very realistic! And I am fussy about these things 😄

Back on spring proposal writing today so I wanted to show you Sarah’s bridal flowers. They were a beautiful combination ~ white and green with the softest of blue, which seems to be a popular choice in the spring. This bouquet had just the right amount of airy frothiness that I love. Very delicate and elegant (if I do say so myself 😝)

Back to dried flowers today ~ a teeny break from your wedding proposals! Thank you for all the lovely enquiries and for waiting so patiently for them. I am a one woman band with occasion help from brilliant freelancers. This time of year sees a lot of time at the computer ~ putting together gorgeous detailed ideas, searching for equipment and doing price comparisons, doing designs and booking in flowers with local farmers and of course the dreaded costings ~ Phew! It’s a time consuming business 😵‍💫 Next week I’ll be starting wedding prep for a gorgeous spring wedding and I can’t wait ❤️

Birch and Bloom began at my kitchen table from a love of Christmas wreath making. I wanted to design something longer lasting and so came up with the idea of making floral hoops from silk flowers that could be displayed all year round.
