We are busy setting up so we don’t have time to reply to individual messages, but here’s the run down:

Unless you hear otherwise from us the event is going ahead

Yes we are aware it’s raining we are the ones setting it up, but it’s Scotland and October so there was a 99% chance it would happen

As per your booking terms All tickets are non refundable unless we cancel the event,
If you decide not to come because of the rain then I’m sorry but that doesn’t validate a refund.

We are trying our best to make something good out of a nightmare situation so please bare with us

It would appear some people aren’t seeing the emails been sent out from eventbrite so please let us update you on the situation and please do check junk folders as more emails will be coming out from Eventbrite over the next couple of days:

Good afternoon spooks and ghouls,
As some of you may be aware by now the area we were due to be having our event was flooded last weekend in the storm, we had hoped the area would drain and we would be able to go ahead as planned however it remains flooded.
After some last minute panic we have managed to secure the hire of land at our local pumpkin patch Pathhead equestrian centre so we will now be relocating the entire event to the following location.

Other than location all other plans remain the same, times etc will not change and we will still have the same entertainment etc as originally planned.
There will still be hot food available from “What the Fork” on site and pathhead have their own cafe which will be operating on the night, so you can get hot drinks and cakes from the cafe to enjoy while Pauline Cordiner will be holding her story telling sessions from the cafe also!

Please bare in mind that we have been planning this event since April and all layout plans etc for the event were for a completely different location to the one we will now be using so if things aren’t perfect we apologise but we are trying to make the most out of a nightmare situation as the last thing we wanted to do was cancel the whole event.

If you know people attending the event then please also check they are aware of the new location as some of our emails end up in junk folders.

Please remember our doors open at 6pm and the time you booked is for the haunted trail only,
You are free to enjoy the entertainment in the main area from 6pm and go on your haunted trail at the time booked (this allows for crowd control)

There is some parking available on the farm but if local please try to walk to the event, if parking on the farm is full you will find free parking at the bottom of Bellies Brae which is only a short walk away from Pathhead. If you are getting the bus over then there is a bus stop just a 2 minute walk down the road from pathhead.

Please remember this is a working farm so stick to your designated routes only, due to the recent high levels of rain it will be wet and muddy so please wear appropriate footwear! We will have fancy dress competitions for old and young so also wear your spookiest outfit (vampires can wear wellies too y’know) you may also want to make sure you have waterproof jackets as we are forecast more rain!

Lastly while we light areas as much as we can remember it’s Halloween and we like spooky so some areas may be dark, feel free to bring torches if required.

Good morning, we are getting a lot of questions as to whether the event will be going ahead given the recent circumstances surrounding storm Babet, so please take the time to read the statement in full.

As some of you may be aware Kirriemuir happened to be in the epicentre of the red warning that came with storm babet and it has caused a significant amount of flooding in The Den, I’m aware you are all eager to know if the event is going ahead and quite simply we still can’t answer that question at present. I will attach some images so you can all see what we are dealing with. We were hoping the majority of the water would drain quite quickly however that does not appear to be happening and the current rain forecast certainly won’t help!
When we stated this was an all weather event we unfortunately didn’t think we would need Noah to build us an ark to get to it! We are currently trying to assess the situation daily and try to come up with alternative layout plans etc but one of our main issues is that it is the main event area that has flooded so options are limited and your safety is our main priority.
The council may also not allow us to go ahead with the booking given the current state of the area so this is another hurdle that we have to deal with. So please bare with us on this one!

We are not a huge events company with oodles of flowing cash to throw around, quite the opposite we are a husband and wife team working around our 7 kids, we do not make huge profits from our events but we make enough so that our children live comfortably. When we are not holding events we are running Dreamtime events where we provide inflatables, soft play and party equipment to private hires, and between that we own The Carpet Cleaner man providing carpet cleaning services through out Angus and Tayside, we are your standard hard working family and We hold events because we enjoy them, we enjoy giving people in our local community something different and we enjoy the buzz from setting them up and running them!
We have been planning and booking entertainment and suppliers for this event since April and We have invested heavily in to this event in regards of entertainment, lighting, power supply, security, staff, and all the little extras and all that has come from our own pockets, we would be at a huge financial loss if we needed to cancel the event so it is absolutely our very very last decision we would make and this is the reason we are not rushing in to anything and are trying our very hardest to come up with alternative options.

In regards to us setting up this event it takes a good couple of days and we have to start preparations on Thursday so any final decision will be made by Thursday at the latest as this is our D Day!

Hopefully you all understand the difficult position we have found ourselves in and we will keep you all updated with any final decisions made.
Fingers crossed we will be seeing you all on Saturday!

The Fright Before Christmas promises to be a Christmas themed fete like no others!

Have your kids reached those teen years where they are too old for Santa and all things traditionally associated with Christmas? Are you more a Halloween/horror fan than a good old Saint Nick fan or perhaps you would like a mixture of both? 😱☠️
Step into our twisted world where horror meets Christmas and prepare to be taken on a journey of festive fear! 🎄

Dare you walk our frightfully festive trail? Be warned this isn’t your standard happy trail of Christmas cheer and twinkle lights, our trail will feature some truly spine tingling creatures and props with a little festive touch! Think nightmare before Christmas, evil elves and poor be-headed rudolf! 🦌

Come face to face with our spine tingling stilt walker and don’t forget to snap a selfie if you dare.
Nothing says Christmas like a giant snow globe, right? Our snow globe however won’t feature a beautiful white snowy Christmas scene, but rather a blood soaked murder scene. ☠️

Santas grotto? Forget it…visit Krampus in his ice lair if you have the guts, just watch he doesn’t try to spill yours!

The Grinch isn’t the friendliest of creatures at the best of times but ours has been roughed up by the locals of Whoville a little too much and is now a green hairy demon who loves the taste of your blood, will you stop and say hello to him? 🧟‍♂️

Are you ready for some horrifying illusions, perhaps maybe even Santa will be decapitated? Who knows what evil awaits you as you witness the magic from our horror illusionists?

We’ve been collecting animatronics for years now sometimes they catch us off guard at the storage units 😂

At our last count we were up to 18 animatronics, in fact we’ve pretty much bought the majority of what the UK market have to offer and have recently moved on to importing from the one and only Spirit Halloween in the USA

We can’t wait to hear you scream when you come across them lurking in the shadows of the darkness 👻
